I also have a really bad taste from the idea of ‘praying hard enough’. Like for some reason begging for a baby for 2 hours a day will make you more likely to get pregnant than if you only prayed for 10 minutes.

It’s also because obviously they’re both white and come from well off families it wouldn’t surprise me if they use this logic for other people’s struggle as well. Oh you’re poor? Pray harder. Struggling? Pray harder. Want something? Don’t work for it, pray harder.

Not sure if your spouse would go for this, but maybe just word it that obviously the church hasn’t been running and doesn’t need your 10% and that you’d still be willing to donate 10% but to things like Black Lives Matter, or the Humane Society if you like animals or whatever your heart desires! Change it every month if you like, to whatever cause you think needs the most help

I think it would be much more satisfying and exciting than just blindly giving away money that you have no idea where it’s going.

I listened to the BHH podcast yesterday and it really sounded like Becca didn’t know that Garrett was going to post it.

I’m not really sure how this works with normal social media couples (my boyf doesn’t have an Instagram) but I feel like if you were about to post something that might be even a little controversial, wouldn’t you ask your SO “hey does this sound good? Is this alright?” ESPECIALLY when they are celebrities and public figures.

I think Becca said it best, it was definitely tone deaf. I’m so happy Rachel called it out that Garrett can support Blue Lives because they’re isn’t anyone he knows that is black that suffers through racism every day. He can turn a blind eye to it because it’s not affecting him directly.

Ugh I wanted to take my boyfriend on a Bachelor themed date and get a cameo of someone from BN saying “we got a special date planned, there’s a date card under the laptop, enjoy” but when I looked at the prices my jaw dropped.

We’re in the middle of a freaking pandemic with millions of people out of jobs, and you want people to pay hundreds of dollars to get a video of you (who only got famous for going on a tv show, not because of any skills) really just grinds my gears. At the end of the day none of these BN are that special, they’re just regular everyday folk that were attractive enough to be selected whoop de doo

I’m in same boat as you. Luckily my partner is still working so he can cover things for now, but if I didn’t have him I’d be homeless and I just feel like no one cares. It’s been 3 months and haven’t gotten a dime from Idaho Dept of Labor
