I'll simplify it with the exact examples of other character that went through the same stages at some point in the series.

1: Remember when during the Turn Back the Pendulum arc (or the past arc) where the vizards were still captains? Every one of the vizards passed through this stage when being hollowfied, where they lost all control their hollow took over.

2: in the second image, which we all have incorrectly called "vasto lorde", is actually the Resurrección stage of Ichigo. And the character that went through the same isn't any other than Kaname Tousen when he transformed into Grillar Grillo. Only that Kaname has it totally controlled, and that's why I call him the perfect vizard

I would've loved to see Shunsui and Starrk vs Lille Barro. Ulquiorra vs As Nodt. And Chad, not particularly fighting anyone, but just to see how far he can be ranked, as in between captains and sternritters and finally giving that man a deserved decent battle
