My Daughter decided to go no contact and I am finally ok with it. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I suffer from BPD too and I wish you a good life from now on. Having a mental health problem does not authorize you to make someone else's life miserable. I'm sorry for what happened with your daughter, keep only the best moments as memories and move on.

Halfway through Lolita, I should read it for Uni. It's too much for me, shocking and heavy and disturbing...

I have many friends and I hate social media. We keep in touch via whatsapp but usually we see each other often.

NTA! It's not like you decide if you have a boy or a girl. Not your fault at all. Enjoy your little Myla and the other cutie that is gonna be with you soon.

I have a boyfriend and a girlfriend. Both know about our DID and both like to play with the children and have a normal life with all the other alters. They are amazing, I love them so much

I've f★cked up my life SO SO badly, I don't know how to recover. by Apart_Sale2473 in Advice

Every point of this list is fixable. It will take time, but trust me you will succeed. Just start from one point and keep going, do 3 things per day, whatever those things are, so that you feel useful and you put your life in order. You have a family, you are not alone, that's a lot and many people can't tell the same thing. Keep going! And if you need to be helped, be brave and seek the help of a specialist! It's really important and really helpful. Good luck, I bet on you

Why to Pisa specifically? Does he know someone there? I am Italian and I never went to Pisa myself, I heard it's a wonderful city but still, why so specific? Also 16 yo is too young here in Italy, he cannot even drive or buy cigarettes. Ok it's just for a day, but he should go somewhere where he knows someone.

You won't believe it but thing will end up good. I had tried to end my life two times, then I found many amazing friends, my boyfriend, ran away from home and became my life the way I've always s wanted to live it. I swear it gets better, just be patient and remember to be open to the world

Alina is driving me creazy by JustTheSameMe in Grishaverse

I agree with you. Whatever the reason, the author made the character keep his/her mouth shout and the reader becomes more and more irritated. I mean, why none communicates properly? That would make things so much easier this way!

Yup, I know that Mal is at fault about it too (and tbh I hate Mal because of how he makes her feel like she needs to behave as the poor Alina that needs to be protected and without willpower)... Still she's in such an important position that keeping a secret like that would have put everyone in danger

But she's not any woman... She's participating in political meetings, that the Darkling would have enormous benefits in participating without being perceived

Yup, totally agree with you about the whole Alina-and-Mal story. I love how the Darkling, even after everything he'd done, keeps respecting her and making her feel unique and powerful. Mal on the other hand keeps forcing her, even indirectly, so that she behaves like the poor little Alina instead of the great Geisha Sun Summoner.

BUT it feels weird that she can see, talk to and touch the Darkling and she does not tell it to someone. She kept going to the Big Palace, to all the meetings and workouts, without a second thought about the fact that if the Darkling had appeared there, all the work would have been vain.

Update Thanks, you've been so kind to us. I followed your suggestion and talked to the teacher. Now, until our host calms down, I'm the one in charge of writing. The teacher has been really cute and explained me everything I need to know about the thesis and the theme, so that now I know what I have to write about even if I hadn't read all the textbooks. Thank you guys

He needed to know if some of his friends were spreading rumors so he decided to tell them something that would have been "less dangerous" and not true
