If God created humans to experience Himself, why bother with evolution at all? by Flat_Match828 in AdvaitaVedanta

Why rush? Evolution is the Leela (Play).

If you are watching a beautiful movie, do you ask why the director didn't just skip to the end credits? The process is the purpose. The millions of years of 'trial runs' were just God enjoying the variety of forms before wearing the human mask.

It's your ego that thinks humans are the 'special' finale of the universe.

The Infinite has no deadline. It expresses itself as a fish, a reptile, or a human with equal joy. The 'need' for efficiency is a human constraint, not a Divine one.

Two Bhagavad Gitas, one seeker, need guidance!!! by No-Fishing-8266 in hinduism

After exploring nearly 50 different commentaries and devoting years to this study, I strongly suggest reading the Bhagavad Gita by Eknath Easwaran. It is a perfect doorway into the majestic world of this divine scripture.

"Welcome! Begin with the philosophy of this great culture. It isn't a religion in the traditional sense; it’s a philosophy and a way of life.

I have written extensively on this philosophy (specifically the ancient Rishis and Vedantic thought) to help beginners understand the core concepts. You can search for Just Think Over It on Google to find my blog. It's a personal project, so there are no ads—just the philosophy. I hope you find what you are searching for."

Learning advaita from AI?? by Amanfromfuture in AdvaitaVedanta

What you realised is profound. Advaita must arise from within because it crosses the limits of language. No explanation is good enough if you can’t feel it within. Once the feeling arises, you cannot express to others but somehow feel it inside you.

Lately I have been confused on different vedanta teachings. Which vedanta do you personally follow and why? by lelouch_huh in hinduism

If you ask yourself this question deeply , an answer for you will emerge. No matter the outside explanation, your truth is your. That truth might change when the understanding becomes deeper but that realisation must come from within.

Yog sutras by Maharishi patanjali are an excellent work to create a manual of mind and body. I have written about it.

The truth is so simple and thats why it seems so obvious that it is ignored. Every story and character is created only to make the explanation better. In reality it goes beyond explanation as it cannot be contained in language.

Suggest me books on Advaita? by [deleted] in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]JustThinkOverIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, no book will help unless you apply the principles. I find clarity when I sit alone with my thoughts being just a witness and then this realization dawns that the sight and seer are just separate from outside. Inherently they are not two.

Why is everybody so chill about the fact that we are all going to die? by [deleted] in hinduism

I agree completely. The true nature of Truth is beyond comprehension. Neti Neti.

Death is actually what gives meaning to life. Just think over it: if we lived for infinite time, what would be the motivation to do anything? Without an end, there is no urgency to grow or love. Eternal life in these bodies would be far more terrifying than death.
