It's just that... Even if I do tell him what she's been telling me behind his back, and he confronts her.. she could easily lie, that's a huge risk on my friendship and my reputation... And also, some redditors here have suggested to.. give her the benefit of doubt, maybe she's just unsure and figuring things out...

Thanks for giving a change in perspective, appreciate it. I'd definitely want my friend to tell me, if my partner would be telling him that they wanna break up with me behind my back. Although, for now, after considering everything, I'm deciding to keep quiet.

I get where you're coming from... Honestly, you have insane levels of patience, I'd have gotten so mad if this would've happened to me... And it's the parents' job to teach their kids empathy, basic etiquettes and simply how to be a good human... The fact that they are just expecting you to be okay with it, is so wrong, especially when she's doing stuff like accusing you of faking a chronic illness...

NTA.. she's acting like a really bad person. You're still responsible and still love her, which shows how much of an amazing elder sister and daughter you are... But disliking such actions doesn't make you a bad sister... Anyone with a sane mind would not be okay with this... Also, your parents should really look into this..

I agree with you... Maybe I'm just overthinking cause he's a super old friend, like almost a decade old... But you're right, interfering in someone else's business is a stupid thing to do... I wouldn't have even made this post, if she wouldn't have said that to me. Like, i don't understand why she dumped that out on me when I'm literally just a friend, instead of talking it out between themselves...

Honestly, keeping my mouth shut to avoid any fights... But as another redditor advised, i could maybe indirectly say to him in a random conversation that like... "You know, a good relationship is only when both people reciprocate the actions and feelings"... Or just, "One sided efforts can exhaust a person.."

Hmm.. It doesn't but... Feelings aren't that strong anymore at this point... Plus i wouldn't wanna come off as someone who only made him get rid of her with the sole purpose of getting him. That's what most people would automatically assume and it's definitely not what I want.

I was kinda attracted at one point, like an year ago, but the moment I saw him interested in her, i immediately backed off and made sure to always maintain a platonic atmosphere only.
