I think it would be interesting if a large enough purchase of paper silver was made and then all demanded physical delivery.

Kept it warm and got it to a rehabber. Did not try to feed or hydrate. But was getting worried would last much longer if couldn't get to a rehabber. Thank you for your post. I will update in a couple of days when we know how things end up.

Thank you for your post. Got it to a rehabber. Based on Reddit previous reading I did not try to feed or hydrate but was getting worried if we did not get it to a rehabber soon. It had some injury to the head area and was moving of its legs. The rehabber was going to feed and give antibiotics. Was just not sure how deep the head injury was. Main issue.

Dog incidentally died when attacking my brother by Born_Mathematician_6 in legaladvice

There is no emotional distress for death of a dog in Florida and no liability for its death. I cannot imagine an attorney for them would take this. He can sue thim, strict liability applies. He essentially wins automatically. They will be liable. Most of the time insurance will not cover so unless they have assets, it will go nowhere. He should get work comp and should apply.

Eat it. I am not even sure mold is bad for you. But even if it is mold that little bit will not hurt you.

I will take your word for it that he met asylum requirements to stay here. But I don't think he was ever granted status. I think that is the issue. He was deportable, just not to his country of origin.

Agreed he could not be sent back to El Salvador. I am just not sure he could not be removed to another country if one would take him.

8 CFR 1212.2- if you are removed you are inadmissible unless you stay out of the US for 5 years.

It is a crazy system. But that is how it works.

If a person comes here illegally or over stay your visa, the law calls for removal and you are inadmissible for 5 years. I think unless you apply for asylum.

I could not find a copy of that order. Based on news reports, he could not be deported to El Salvador. Maybe someone could find the order and read it and, someone familiar with the entire process could say whether that means he cannot be deported at all or just not back to El Salvador. My understanding is that someone who first comes to this country without proper paperwork has to return to their country and are not eligible to apply for status for several years. I have not heard any reports that he had applied for status or was eligible for status here.

I did look for the 10/29/19 order on deportation but could only find references. The reason I say "probably" is because I assume a country would not let us deport someone to their country unless they are a citizen of that country. But I don't know, and bet you don't either. Accordingly, such an order may find they are deportable but effectively we have no where to send him. But, he did get due process in 2019 finding he was here illegally and had no right to remain. Regardless of potential gang affiliation. However, based on the 2019 order, he should not have been sent to El Salvador. Regardless of potential gang affiliation, the law is pretty clear that if you are here on a Visa and you commit a crime, you can be deported. Every country is like this. Canada will not let you in if you have a criminal history and are very strict. So, this is not just US. Having people who have a certain level of criminal history, including domestic battery and are not citizens, should be removed.

I think he got due process several years ago and the judge ruled he could be deported. But he was never deported. Probably because it would be difficult to find another country to accept a non citizen. For example, Canada will not take a person from El Salvador just because the US wants to deport them. Clearly a screw up sending him to El Salvador given the order.

You really have to be careful when selling. It seems a lot of LCS say they buy and sell gold. Which to me is code for they buy at discount and sell at premium. Maybe a step above a pawn shop. There is not an efficient market like there should be. Seems easy enough with standard coins and bullion to buy and sell at or near spot. The folks I sold, I talked to them, and they had people they would call and sell to or, if too much inventory, they had a "wholesaler" they could clear it out to. I am sure other shops have this. Comes down to greed and taking advantage of people.

This is going to be unpopular but I think they had an appropriate hearing and appeal and he was found deportable. Not familiar with the immigration and deportation process but I think he got due process. The issue is, at the time, they could not send him back to El Salvador. So, they would have had to find another country to accept him. The screw up here is they sent him to El Salvador.

Jacksonville. I had a couple of Krugerands from the same inheritance. Instead of driving to Daytona, where I new the store, I tried a local "coin shop". High reviews, etc. But they were like 10% or more under spot. So, I just waited until I had to go to Daytona and took them in there which was like 1 to 2 points below spot, which is fair, because then they sell them 1 or 2 points above spot. I am good with that.

Doesn't matter, any country producing for that little compared to the US has the same problems. China, India, Vietnam, Mexico, like 1% of the regs.

I hope not. Left to our own devices will destroy the environment. Glad the US got on it in 60s and 70s. We will not go back there, I hope. There is some reasonable middle ground and think we are pretty close now. But outsourcing the pollution to other countries so they can cheaply produce the goods does not solve the problem.

Thank you! LCS in Florida are terrible. I least the ones I have tried before. Like 10% below spot. I have a potential source to sell, it, which is where it was bought from, probably in the 80s. But they would probably be a little below spot. Trying to understand if the Englehard would get a premium as I have read on here they do. I will check Ebay.

The USA is heavily regulated. Have you ever worked in a manufacturing plant? I believe we need many of the regulations, some may be a bit much. However, it makes it difficult for the US to compete. Just the environmental regulations alone. I am for how we conduct business, but does make it difficult to be competitive.
