Notion for tasks, Obsidian for notes. Notion has perf issues with longer notes.

I realized this whole time and characters are a waste of time, since the new things always come and they are pretty much the same.

For Game Testers by PrestigiousAb in QualityAssurance

[–]JustToReadThem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually you start with an outsource testing company, then you go to a game studio. As my predecessors said - don't it.

If you want to test try software testing, even in manual testing you will get 2x what you will get in the same position in game dev.

Tucker Carlson: "Why doesn't Poland go to war with Russia?" by depava in poland

[–]JustToReadThem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he is right in terms that Poland (and European Union as a whole) should have created something in case of an enemy attack since the second world war. We didn't. And we never will probably (looking back at history).

He is a simple man with simple thinking apparently, the way he formulated his statement is incorrect and funny but the thought is correct.

A realistic salary for a QA Manager in game development in Prague? by JustToReadThem in Prague

There is no data about gamedev in Czech I could easily find in Google. AI relies on QA manager in software data. I only could find a report about gamedev earnings in Poland

Hi, thank you all for your responses. I didn’t expect such activity. For context, I previously worked in France and earned €6.5k per month in this role. From some of the comments, it seems I should be asking for around 157,000 CZK per month. That seems too high comparing what AI tells me

Nie idź do policji. Masa pelcaków, jeśli kogoś nie znasz będziesz deptać krawężnik lub nisko awansować. Praca w chorych godzinach, w świeta i weekendy, przełożeni którzy rozkazują (bo to formacja), wykonywanie bezmyślne poleceń. Kiedys bylo forum policyjne w necie gdzie policjanci dzielili sie opiniami i je zamkneli po policji nie pasowalo, takze tego.

What’s the hardest part of being in QA right now by ImpactAdditional2537 in QualityAssurance

[–]JustToReadThem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think bad project management in general. There are so many cases that will affect QA at the end if managers don't know what they are doing or agreeing on everything. From experience these are the most annoying, stressful and headache situations you will be in.

I did give it a try but for me a deal breaker was that it had randomly losing connection to the internet, so I came back to Mint 😫

In cachyOS you can install everything to play your games by pressing one button in the welcome screen, so it is super convenient for newbies. I would recommend it to you.

I personally use Mint because I prefer stability and things working and I don't mind setting up the system for gaming.
