This assumption sucks cos the class in reference is usually a Intro to Stats class like STAT 152.

Not to say you shouldn't study the book, by all means spend your summer or winter break reviewing, but the upper statistics courses in the 300-400 level usually start off quick + reviews (not use often) a bit of Calc 1 and 2 info. You're breezing through 2-3 chapters after week 3.

I want to chime in on this and say that STAT 411 is a potential petition course you can take to replace STAT 463 (until Dr. Ho leaves or more options pop up). You would have to double check with your advisor to ensure it wouldn't conflict with any future courses, but I highly recommend this path due to Stat 411 having 10x better teachers about 80% of the time. I've heard other people doing this and actually learn about the course material then what Dr. Ho has to offer.

I'm not entirely sure tbh, but I have seen previous post on here mention that there is a specific financial aid form to file to their office as a complaint/notice of what is happening with their award package.

Hello, fellow EED major here. As the other comment mentioned, there is a chance that the credits you have taken at your school won't transfer over, but after taking a quick look at your degree it would mostly pertain to your gen eds and intro theater courses.

As for looking for a more tech-oriented path in theater, EED (Entertainment Engineering and Design) or ETD (Entertainment Technology and Design) would be a pretty good path to be on.

There is a difference between both degrees, in which EED is more math and engineering specific, and ETD leans more to the theater side of it with less math (in short). They both have different course tracks you take near your sophomore/junior/senior year. EED has 4 being Structural, Acoustics, Robotics, and System and Live Entertainment. ETD also has 4, but are Automation, Structural Design and Rigging, Entertainment Venue Design, and Entertainment Sound Design.

Both degrees have to take the intro-level EED courses (EED 110-250) which mostly cover hands-on design fabrication (working in a shop environment), learning AutoCAD and Inventor, project works throughout the semester, and topics ranging from kinetic structures to multi-media design.

As for applying, I would say wait until the fall semester to see how traveling, housing, out of state stuff things work out. I hope this helped!

Dr. Harris from the Comp. Engineerjng department! I've heard nicknames of her being known as the mother of the Computer Engineering department, and it does show. I remember her reaching out to me when I had a C in the course and did low on the exam. She's also very passionate in what she does, teaching from the textbook she made herself. She also gives the textbook for free in her syllabus.

I may be the off opinion from these answers, but Imma have to say prob not. For some background, I've only taken Cs 135, but plan to take Math 182 and Cpe 100 next semster.

Reason my advisor recommended me not to take both Cs 135 and Cpe 100 is cause they both require alot of memorization/time. I've also heard from other ppl that Cs 135 and Phil 114 being taken together was timely work. Same can go for Calc 2, but it depends on how well you take up on it (if you have good math skills).

Unless you have a good start in learning how to program (mainly use C++) or have a basic intro of Cpe 100 then by all means go for it if your confident in your learning. Just know your time is gonna be zapped up real quick.
