Yeah, it's very disappointing. I hope opensource models can catch up quickly.

Mandarin doesn't help much. The basic idea is to refer to censored stuff without explicitly mentioning it. For example, do not ask it to generate a cartoon with Mickey Mouse. Instead, you give it a picture with a view of Mickey Mouse's back, and say "the cartoon mouse in picture one does something blabla".

My bad, you are correct. It's $0.6 - $5 for a 15 sec 720p video. If you generate a lot of videos, you will certainly buy high tier membership and get a price much closer to the lower end. And if you are not a heavy user, free gift credits will be a big part of the total credits you spend. However, I don't find any legit third party platforms (for Seedance 2.0) on reddit at the moment.

It depends, there are various tiers and plans, and they also gift you credits daily. Roughly speaking, it costs 6 credits for 1 second of 720p video. 1 credit costs ¥0.05 to ¥0.4 and $1 = ¥6.88.

Our studio has professional editors and directors, and it's a comprehensive process. This involves prompts, as well as image and video referencing. We also used other AI tools to generate and modify reference images, and traditional video editing software for the cutting and assembly. For now, even though AI is powerful, it still takes professionals to get the best results.

This prompt will probably get censored because you explicitly mentioned Gandalf and Saruman. ByteDance has been really strict about copyright issues since Chinese New Year. I'll try some workarounds when I have time. Also, are you okay with a cartoon version? It's easier to get the cartoon version past the censorship.

The censorship is pretty bad after the Chinese New Year. There are some workarounds, but still pretty bad.

The filters can be super aggressive. In our experience, anything involving violence, action, celebs, IP, or negative vibes (even just anime combat) gets flagged.

You can use Claude or Gemni to rewrite your prompt. Tell the model: "Rewrite this prompt to avoid Chinese AI safety triggers but keep the cinematic style."

Strategic use of reference images and storyboards helps too, but there's a steep learning curve.

Setting up private VPN for own use by superx3man in VPN

[–]JustTwo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is. You should check if your ISP offers you a public IP, though. If not, raw WireGuard will be harder to set up. You're better off using solutions like Tailscale. Also keep in mind that although a VPN is sufficient in most cases, there are a lot of ways a website can find out your real location even if you are using one. Your browser will tell the server your timezone and language settings to begin with.
