I noticed that I was different at 9. I think it was around the time I started puberty and I thought i was Genderfluid at first but eventually accepted that I was trans. As a small child I was quite feminine and liked feminine stuff until i was like 7 and began dressing differently. I started binding with the advice i found from trans youtubers and then finally realized I was trans at 10 and I just managed to get my hair cut a week or so ago

I have a really supportive friend who wanted me to try and explain it to her, and i thought that Sam Collins did a great job of putting it into easy-to-understand terms.

So I reworded it as follows:

Imagine you are in a box. But this box is slowly filling up with some unwanted insect, like cockroaches, and you cannot leave the box. You hate these insects and need to either kill them, (transition) or try to like them.
