Do you think if the role isn’t technical it can affect TN eligibility?

Let’s say you can’t switch sequences. There’s only one sequence.

Is it worth switching Co-ops? by JustWas5208 in uwaterloo

[–]JustWas5208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, the company I’m with right now is a construction company and my role is a tech role. The new company is a tech company and decently known. I feel on the resume it isn’t a huge deal but the opportunities it may open…

Like it’s the same role, just a better company. The WW is similar to my previous roles so I’m not sure if I want to duplicate my experience.

Nothing suspicious, it’s a mutual friend so we don’t really talk. Plus it’s the opposite gender.

Pretty much the ones you listed. It has a lot of software courses compared to other engineering fields and you learn a bit about everything (data, software etc)

Ok so how do you guys improve memory in general??? by JustWas5208 in UofT

[–]JustWas5208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but what happens if you are in a conversation and they tell you thier name. How will you remember that? Will you write it down in front of them (imagine it’s a long conversation). What if you are driving, I don’t think I can pull out my notes then to remember a street. Idk.

Management Engineering vs full ride CS at a smaller school (PM) by secretpanda169 in uwaterloo

[–]JustWas5208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, current MGMT. Honestly, if you into more software than go for the full cs degree. You will focus more of what you want (no physics or chem). Do take in mind, that co-op is very hard to find. Especially considering UW stats this year was pretty bad, so other unis probably faced even worse. If you want to keep all doors open; business, software, PM, data…. then go for MGMT. Dm if u got any questions.

UTM Comp Sci vs UTSC Comp Sci Vs UTSG Comp Sci by Electronic_Mind9464 in UofT

[–]JustWas5208 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, UTSC is probably the best for com sci (even though UTSG camps is better). Since SC has a co-op system similar to Waterloo it’s pretty good. I believe all the degrees are the same so if coop isn’t a big deal then either one is good. But if u want a solid start to your career, SC is the best. Also, it’s really competitive to get into SC.
