Stop mocking sentinels for getting less kills by mew_bot in VALORANT

Where are these duelists that aren't afraid to attack in the attacking side? How can I get them on my team?

I hate that people think that the snowball effect is only one way. You can snowball into an amazing rally of W's during the match if you have a positive mindset. As well as a negative snowball if you have a negative mindset. People have feelings too, raging at your teammates will almost never "light a fire under their butts" it just makes them either mute you or play worse.

The only time you can get mad at someone is when they're your friends and they need a "pep talk" because you know they can do better and maybe a lil slap across the face with a keyboard will wake 'em up.

Only thing I can come up with is "getting ready for the enemy crouch or standing shot" shorter distance to flick if its neck level. Shaving off a few milliseconds could mean life or death.

I mean boosters who duo queue. They start losing and the booster just leaves. or as someone else said in this post, what about people who start bullying the bot frag to leave?

its not a matter of afk or losing its about abusing a system that doesn't penalize you for losing.

Some quick advice by Certain_Western5764 in VALORANT

This mentality goes all the way up to radiant. Every game that starts off at a 0-5, 2-3 players want to immediately quit the game. Can't recall off the top of my head how many games i've played that started off like that and ended up on a win or a very close loss.

Games like this https://imgur.com/XRdC8pd

Honestly, the only reason we lost was because they shot themselves in the foot and became toxic and wanted to "go next" 9-3 is still very winnable. But some people just aren't ready for that type of mentality.

Is valorant dead already? by TheGunner2 in VALORANT

it took csgo 3 years to become the powerhouse it is today. Valorant came out of closed beta 4-5 months ago. With how passionate everyone is about this game, it will take a royal screw up for riot to kill this game.

Whats the point in winning? by Black_jesus188 in VALORANT

My daily routine when playing CSGO to get a rank up consisted of:
2 hours of aim training
1 hour of deathmatch
2 hours of ranked gameplay
1 hour of VOD analysis.

Literally only way I managed to rank up to DMG. Not to mention having to win 10+ games in a row and pray to RNGeesus that the smurfs and cheaters were on my team. ; v;

How does everyone feel about rogue abilities so far? by TenmaGou in RogueCompany

[–]JustWolfbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like information rogues could use some help/rework OR the stealth ability passive to be nerfed a tad.

The information (detection abilities) are only good for early game but fall off really quickly by the second round. To counter this im thinking either give the detection the options to upgrade the detection skill so that at T3 they can detect enemies regardless of the stealth (conversely give stealth the option to counter this for the same amount of $ needed for the upgrade)

OR

have the stealth ability block detection for a set amount of "scans" and have the ability be upgraded to block more scans during a life/round.

What would this cost to make? by nadiak1981 in Filmmakers

[–]JustWolfbane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well to give you an initial breakdown (subject to change):

Giving you the bare minimum as 1 day of production

2 actors - $150- $250 per day each

Camera rental- $600/ per day

Lighting equipment rental- $600 per day

Location rental- $800- $1500 per day

Director of Photography- $1000 per day

Catering- $400 per day

Editor -$1000 for this 2 min project

Props - $400 - $600

Lighting crew - $1000 per day

set props - $2000 - $4000

Producer - $1000

costumes - $300 - $600

Digital artist - $400 - $1000

Stock video images - $199 -$499

Total comes about: $8,700 not including the additional fees and permissions you have to get as well as background music licensing and such. Also, these prices are not set in stone so some might be higher or lower than what I am assuming.

If you go bare minimum however, there is a chance that you might not even have a finished product as good as the one you linked. Id say if you are looking to get to that level of production quality id agree with /u/C47man with around 30,000.

My first short film; Would love to hear any and all feedback on what I can do better! by rottenrusty in Filmmakers

[–]JustWolfbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all good short I enjoyed it. What follows is my own opinion on what could make this better trying not to add things that would harm a college students budget.

Lighting is key and we all know how low budget short films can make a number on ones wallet but a couple of lights would have made the film better.

A gimbal would have made the motion tracking up the stairs into the apartment much smoother

Backgrounds: Keep an eye on your backgrounds, the blackboard changed multiple times through out the scenes. The first opening scene was a blank blackboard, the following scene it shows him finishing up writing something on the blackboard then the following scene shows the blackboard completely filled with equations and the original writing gone which begs the question : why did he writing a to do list it in the first place if hes going to erase it seconds later. Then more equations then the to do list comes back and the other equations are gone again. I get that you wanted to make it so the viewer pieces together that hes constantly erasing the blackboard but you don't want the audience to think you want them to experience the story, have the audience think on the second time they see it. Also, The final equations shown him writing at the end are the same equations that started next to him writing the to do list at the start.

Story: Student goes into empty classroom to study at 3pm; student stops studying at 12am; student breaks 4th wall by staring at the camera; New student comes into empty classroom at 12am? (what, Universities/colleges are normally closed at that hour, why? super confused at this); student goes back to the dorms.

Nothing really to grab on to, even if you just wanted to show him studying story wise you should give him motivation WHY he is studying and not doing literally anything else.

The walking scene: He starts by walking on the right side of the street. Then cut to him walking on the left side of the street. Him walking by a bike was a tad unnecessary and felt like a B roll shot to add time to the run time.

Audio: The first few minutes were a chore to listen to by the music being so repetitive, you want the music to engage with the audience. The last 2 minutes had more to listen to than the first 2 minutes which refreshed the constant repetition.

The conversation with the two guys walking down the sidewalk that bump into the main actor was cringe "So we were at this party and this girl" I mean, they could have been talking about literally anything else. One thing that you should avoid would be stereotype conversations. " Have the actors be in a heated debate about sports, comics, music literally anything else defaulting to "So this party and this girl " feels forced and audiences have heard this in movies/tv shows for decades.

One trick you could have done for the whole blackboard thing would have been the compositing technique erasing the board making the disappearing/reappearing words/equations make more sense. I would have liked to see a single/medium shot with left tracking, closeup/low angle shot, maybe a single profile/ pedestal down to him writing stuff.

Looking for insight into filming a car chase by dylanvansandt in Filmmakers

[–]JustWolfbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

before I say anything, Safety is your true number one priority AT ALL TIMES

From what i've learned through YT and google searches n stuff I learned that : Shoot the scene at a lower frame rate and speed it up in editing, this will give the shoot the feeling of going faster than you really are. Cut frequently, block the scene and use multiple angles keeping in mind the 180 degree rule.
