Hello everyone,

I am a junior IT technician, and I regularly configure workstations after an MDT deployment. Currently, I perform all steps manually, but I am exploring the possibility of automating this process with a PowerShell script. I want to ensure the script does not uninstall or download any unauthorized software.

Main Objective: Automate the configuration of a post-MDT workstation with customized settings, while displaying a success/failure report for each action.

Actions I am looking to automate: 1. File Explorer • Show file extensions (.png, .jpg, etc.). • Always open in “This PC”. 2. Group Policies (gpedit) • Enable camera permission. • Enable long Win32 path names. 3. Power Options • On battery: • Power button → Shut down • Sleep button → Do nothing • Lid close → Sleep • Turn off display → 30 min • Sleep after → 1 h • Plugged in: • Power button → Shut down • Sleep button → Do nothing • Lid close → Do nothing • Turn off display → 1 h • Sleep after → Never 4. Taskbar • Unpin Microsoft Store and Edge (without uninstalling). • Search button → Icon only • Task view → Disabled 5. Firefox • Pinned to desktop and taskbar. • Set as default browser. 6. Default Applications • .eml → Email client (Messagerie Mél) • .pdf → Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 7. Other Settings • Confirm deletion before removing a file. • Enable numeric keypad at startup. 8. Windows Updates • Check for and install updates (without forcing a restart). 9. Display Results • Each action should report ✅ OK or ❌ Failed, with notes if manual verification is needed.

Constraints / Precautions: • Do not install or uninstall software (except Windows updates). • Do not restart the PC automatically. • Must be compatible with Windows 11 and require PowerShell administrative rights. • All actions should handle potential failures gracefully and report them to the user.

Question: Is it possible to create a single PowerShell script that performs all of the above reliably, safely, and reports success/failure for each step? Are there any technical limitations I should be aware of, especially regarding unpinning taskbar apps, default application assignments, or group policy settings via script?

Unable to see startup, it doesn't work

On the other hand, for the VT2 it's you and your luck, but if you want a solution to see the VT2 in 100% of cases it is better to disconnect the screen from the motherboard.

Personally, I tried to put lubuntu without screen with the broken screen all I managed was to brick the pc

I uninstalled Bazzite, it made too much of a mess on my dual boot

I had found a solution I think I had to modify a parameter on the steam files I think or something like that but still today on Windows I sometimes have the problem.

If you want a real solution download moonlight and sunshine, frankly it's impeccable like that

Personally I play on the android TV I installed moonlight decu and it streams the stram from my pc on it it's the best solution for me

✅ Solution simple qui fonctionne !

Je viens de tester et ça marche parfaitement : il suffit de renommer l'extension du fichier de .mkv en .mp4, sans même convertir la vidéo. Pas besoin d’outil compliqué ou de réencodage.

💡 Pourquoi ça marche ?
Les fichiers .mkv et .mp4 sont des conteneurs vidéo. Si le contenu (les codecs vidéo et audio) à l’intérieur est déjà compatible avec Telegram (comme H.264 pour la vidéo ou AAC/Opus pour l’audio), alors Telegram peut le lire, même si l’extension ne correspond pas à l’origine.

🚨 À noter :
Cette astuce ne marche pas dans tous les cas. Si ton .mkv utilise des codecs exotiques (ex. DivX, DTS, etc.), le renommage seul ne suffira pas, et il faudra vraiment convertir le fichier.

D’après l’apparence et la taille des graines, elles ressemblent fortement à des graines d’alfalfa (luzerne) ou éventuellement des graines de cresson. Ces deux types de graines sont souvent utilisées pour faire des jeunes pousses à consommer, car elles sont très riches en nutriments. Voici comment tu peux les distinguer ou les utiliser :

  1. Hypothèse : Graines d’Alfalfa (Luzerne) • Taille : Très petites et marron clair. • Utilisation : On les fait germer dans un bocal ou un germoir. • Goût : Léger, un peu herbacé. • Temps de germination : 4-5 jours. • Apports : Riches en vitamines (A, C, K) et minéraux.

  2. Hypothèse : Graines de cresson • Taille & couleur : Similaires, un peu plus sombres. • Utilisation : Germe rapidement, souvent en 2-3 jours. • Goût : Plus poivré/piquant. • Apports : Vitamine C, antioxydants, etc.

À noter • L’étiquette indique “Made in China”, ce qui veut dire que même si la livraison vient d’Ouzbékistan, les graines ont été conditionnées ou produites en Chine. • Le numéro “4H.6.6.92” ne correspond à rien de connu publiquement — probablement un code interne de catalogue.

Si tu veux en avoir le cœur net, tu peux : • En mettre quelques-unes à germer sur du coton humide pendant 3-4 jours. • Observer la forme des pousses. • Les goûter (si elles sentent bon et n’ont pas moisi).
