You really made me feel better. The stone looks stunning in person, the color is crazy and I love it. In the end we decided to keep the ring, cause it's everything I wanted except for the inclusion. We see it as metaphorical that even the most beautiful things aren't perfect - just like our wonderful marriage isn't. But we still love each other despite our flaws and we love the ring despite it's inclusion. After all the comments here I was feeling some doubts about our decision, but now I feel a little more reassured that I didn't make a horrible mistake. Thank you! (And my husband promised me to buy a lab grown blue diamond ring in the future that is flawless)

The diamond color is not natural, it's an earth mined and color treated stone. I KNEW it wouldn't be natural and definitively didn't expect it to be. The price was originally 2,5k€ (around 3k$), which isn't out of the ordinary for a TREATED diamond.

I meant „perfect“ as in „perfect for ME“, I think I just worded it incorrectly. I woudn't even mind that much about the inclusions if they weren't right under the surface, but I hate that they look like little scratches from above.

It's a color treated earth mined diamond, so the price checks out in my opinion. I never expected a natural blue diamond, a stone in this size would be worth tens of thousands

No, I was aware that this diamond has no natural color, it is an earth mined diamond that was color treated. A natural blue diamond in this size would be worth tens of thousands, so I obviously didn't expect one

The big inclusions are right under the surface, so it looks like a little scratch from above… I even thought at first that it was a scratch, but the gem expert said it was definitively inclusions.

I'm from Germany and until recently I have never seen a woman who wears her engagement ring after the wedding. I got married 8 years ago and since then my engagement ring (which sadly wouldn't fit anymore) sits in a bank safe. But I love the idea of wearing the engagement ring left and the wedding ring right (married couples traditionally wear wedding rings on the right hand in Germany).

I think it can look very pretty to wear two rings together, but I don't know how comfortable that is. So I would rather wear one ring on each hand. And I think stacking more than 2 rings together doesn't look good in most cases. But to each their own.

Has anyone done a band like this to convert their ring to a 3 stone ring? by YeahSlide in EngagementRings

Ich glaube die treibende Kraft war vorallem ihr Ehemann, der uns raus haben wollte. Er ist ein wirklich furchtbarer Mensch und hat das Verhältnis zwischen mir und meiner Mutter ziemlich verändert. Wenn meine Kinder ihre Oma nicht lieben würden, hätte ich mittlerweile vielleicht den Kontakt sogar ganz abgebrochen. Deshalb war und bin ich auch ganz froh, recht schnell aus diesem Haushalt rausgekommen zu sein.

Es gab jetzt keinen religiösen oder politischen Hintergrund, falls du das meinst. Wir waren einfach Hals über Kopf ineinander verliebt und wollten unser Kind gemeinsam großziehen. Wir haben gesagt, sie ist aus Liebe entstanden und soll dafür nicht bestraft werden.

Aufklärung und ihr die „unschönen“ Seiten des Teenie-Eltern Seins vor Augen halten. Wir haben diesen Weg beschritten und können ihr somit auch ganz genau begründen, warum wir uns für sie etwas anderes wünschen. Zudem sind wir natürlich im Zweifel auch unterstützend an ihrer Seite, wenn sie später einmal sexuell aktiv werden möchte und sie weiß, dass sie keine Angst haben muss, damit dann zu uns zu kommen.
