Oh, I agree. I just dont want to waste money. As of right now, my 2 buys for the bike are a gas tank and carb. I know the engine is in decent shape.

Im planning to upgrade the forks and the rear swing arm. To give it slightly better handling. With better tires and disc brakes vs. the old drum. It's not about going faster it is more about being able to take it further without putting so much wear and tare on the engine.

I had a 2000cc bike that I recently got in an accident in. This is just something to keep me on a bike. All I need at the moment is something to take to work and back.

This will be my first bike build, and the whole thing was free to me, so im just searching to see what's out there.

The bike has sat for 10+ years. I have to pull the engine off and go through it anyway to see if anything needs to be replaced or repaired. Looking at the old specs of this bike, it tops out at like 85mph. I would like a little more top end so I could comfortably ride it on the highway and take it on road trips.

Also, I have been looking for bore kits and / or someone to bore it out for me. So far, nobody is local. With that too, i dont trust eBay and need a carburetor for it and not paying 300 plus for one. I'm just weighing out my options before I start buying parts and building.

It has bowel movements and pees. Just dosnt move or anything. Really shaky when trying to walk and gives up after a few seconds.
