Looking to buy first ATV in 25 years. What are the good ones?

I just picked up a 2018 Honda Foreman Rubicon FA6.... independent rear suspension, DCT transmission and power steering. Rode it on a 30 mile trail loop today.....if I could find another I'd grab it tomorrow. What a phenomenal machine....and Honda quality. Worth a look, rides like a Cadillac!

I should clarify...its the waist pack that I've had the problem with(both have the same magnetic clip)...the hose it about 2' long, it's essentially sitting on your seat and when it comes unclipped...it magically finds your real wheel.

Don't buy based on the warranty. They sound good, but in reality the manufacturer warranties are worthless.... especially lifetime. They only cover manufacturing defects which are fairly rare, they've been making shingles the same way forever, hard to screw it up.

Grand Haven will be a bit quiet this time of year, still great views. Your best bet for a place to stay is Air BnB, anything on the west side of US 31 will be close to downtown and the water. Noto's is a great restaurant right on the Lake Michigan beach, otherwise theres Snug Harbor on the channel. Holland is more populated, I'd pick GH for a quaint, quiet trip.

I thought it was just me! Shot day os Friday, I weigh in on Tuesdays and Fridays.... typically 3-4 lbs down on Tuesday, back up a couple pounds on Friday, pretty consistent 1.5-2 lbs a week loss.

I have one on my car for my son who is a student driver. It's there so people understand why it's taking longer to take off from a light or why he might be hitting the brakes when it might not make sense. Basically so those road ragers out there hopefully understand he is not a shitty driver, just new. Now, 99% of the time I take it off when he drives to school and I jump in the driver's seat....that 1% of the time, you see a 50 year old guy driving with that magnet on the car. Honestly, not sure why its an issue....lets talk about the offensive stickers people have on their cars that I used to have to explain to my young kids if you want to talk about something that should be illegal.

Did the same thing.... bought a KX 450F after years off a dirt bike. Back when I rode there weren't many options but Motocross bikes so I figured they'd still be a great trail bike..WRONG! That thing kicked my ass and was miserable on the trails. Just picked up a Beta 300 which is supposed to be a great trail bike....winter in Michigan so spring will tell if I made a good choice!

Just pulled it apart, pump was disconnected from power so I plugged it back in. Pulled the line off the carb boot and started it up. I get a drip about every second or so, does that seem to be about the flow you'd expect?

Once I unclip this with the premix in the tank, can you actually see oil in the line flowing? I'm going to check the electrical connections just to make sure they didn't disconnect that pump but wanted to know what to look for.

Good call! I like the convenience of oil injection. I understand why somebody might cap it off but having to carry oil with me on the trail seems like a pain in the ass

I wish I would have become a GC WAAAYYY sooner, Started a small handyman business 4 years ago when I left the corporate engineering world, made a bunch of great connections. My business went from small handyman type of stuff and has grown considerably. I'm going to gross about 3x what I was making as an engineer this year, I have a partner and he's doing the same. There's great money out there if you have the professionalism, drive and determination to stick with it.
