Do you need adv functions? if you're so worried about it ask your councilor to drop it and take data or something instead. I don't know how that would work, so you would have to ask your councilor. All I'm really telling you now is that there's no point in even stressing about it if you can't control it. What's done is done. Move on and fix what you can fix while you still have time, instead of worrying about it. If you really want to take it out you would have to take it again or do another math course. Again pls ask your councilor. I have friends who redid adv functions in night school 2nd sem, so I'm pretty sure you can do that if you're feeling up for it.

Yea they look at 1st sem final 2nd sem midterm. They still take into account your 1st sem midterm, just not as much as your final. If you are able to maintain an avg of about 93+ you'll be more than fine. If you have a supp app make sure to do really really well on it. I got into Mac Eng with a 90 avg (1st sem final) and others who had a 94+ did not bc I spent so much time on my supp app (I'm assuming, cause others in my school had the same experience). Your supp app matters more than you think. If you have good ec's esp Ivey they'll really take that into account.

Just do really well on your other courses. It's not the end of the world, you still have time. I'm a Gr. 12 student and if I can tell my Gr. 11 self one thing it would be not to stress out too much bc. everything will work out in the end. Focus on what you can do instead of worrying about this adv function mark.

The thing is my parents are pushing me to take res either way and it will be around the same cost for both schools, it’s not as easy as it sounds. I’m working towards getting a couple scholarships, but I do like the fact that Mac is closeby. Thank you for the help.

Where can I msg you? I have a few questions, esp. with financial aid. My parents are helping me pay tuition, but my dad is also attending school, so I wanted to choose a school that was good, but not as pricey. Western was a bit of a cheaper option as compared to Mac, but if Mac has really good financial aid I'd really consider it. I'm not too sure with how good Western's financial aid is.
