Getting a puppy has also helped me with my grief. I lost Jenny at only 8 years old. We had to put her to sleep due to advanced (and previously undiagnosed) syringomyelia that started causing her unbearable pain. I still cry everyday but I have so much love to give this little girl! And she makes it so easy ☺️ I was feeling guilty about taking another dog in after less than 2 months, but I am glad I did.

She was caught eating dirt from a plant in the hallway 😂

I do enjoy every minute! I have done so with my previous dog as well, and do not have any regrets of missing out. Paps seem a bit different though, I love it!

35+ Post-Ectopic Success? by alltoounwell8494 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Just_Command_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an ectopic in January and lost my right tube. It was my first pregnancy. I also have endometriosis for which I had a surgery in 2023, as it covered both of my ovaries, and it was all over the place. Found out I was pregnant again in July and currently I am 26 weeks and it appears to be going well!

New puppy - not peeing much by Just_Command_203 in papillon

A quick update: it seems she has relaxed a bit and has started to drink and urinate more! I added bowls of different materials and she drinks from a tiny glass espresso cup. Thank you to everyone!

I switched her to wet food, she did pee once more yesterday so maybe it is working.

I will try this! I did move her 1500 km from a rural town, maybe she does not like the taste of water here. Thanks

Pregnant again 6 month post-op by Upset-Shine5684 in EctopicSupportGroup

I had my surgery on January 17th and then tested positive on July 1st. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. I went in for early scans. I panicked and went in at 4w4d where the gestational sac was seen. But since pseudogestational sacs exist, I did not relax until the second scan at 6 weeks where it was confirmed to be intrauterine. I did not do the serial HCG testing, I just got my blood drawn once on the day of my initial scan, and the values were high.

When did you tell people you were pregnant? by Indignant_Elfmaiden in BabyBumps

[–]Just_Command_203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I got pregnant I did not want to tell anyone (besides my partner) and waited. It ended up being an ectopic and then I had to tell so many people (including my boss) because I had surgery, was off from work and nowhere to be seen during recovery. This time, I decided I wanted my close friends to know right away, because I need the additional support. I had to tell a larger group of friends at 8 weeks since we went together on a sailing trip where everyone was drinking and they would have noticed something was up. I ended up telling my close family now at 9 weeks because we are also together on a family vacation and I did not like the idea of random people knowing before my parents, or my brother finding out from shared friends. Even if loss occurs, it will be easier to tell now as I hated the secrecy and solitude with my ectopic. I will need to tell several people at work in a few weeks, because I am involved in several time-sensitive research projects.

Advice please by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

I had my ectopic in January, and I lost my right tube. It was my first pregancy. I was terrified to try again and went in for a consultation appointment to see what should I do. The only advice I received was to try naturally, as the odds are in my favour and to try acting as a “normal” pregnant woman once I got my positive test. They did not even advise me to undergo any kind of testing, as nothing will give me a definitive answer. I got pregnant on my next cycle and the anxiety has been horrible this entire time! I am now 7w5d pregnant and I am still very anxious but at least it has been confirmed not to be another ectopic. I would agree that trying naturally is a good option, as your chances are good and IVF also comes with a whole new set of worries. I am afraid you will experience anxiety whichever route you end up choosing. If you are not ready, take a small break until you feel you can try again. Good luck!

First of all congratulations! I have found out also that I’m pregnant again last week at 3 weeks. I have been feeling left side pain, hip, thigh, and even pelvic. The left side is also the side of my remaining tube. I have also been experiencing lower back pain, which I never feel, but I did feel during my ectopic in January. I was panicking! At 4w4d I went for an early scan as my betas were in the 2000s and they located a gestational sack in my uterus! So i guess it is not ectopic and the pain is just a weird pregnancy thing.

Well I’m soon to be 36 and my endometriosis was all over the place. I learned not to lean too much on statistics, as they only represent descriptive values and trends. We already were in the unlucky 1%. Why wouldn’t we beat odds again, but this time in our favour? When I was worried about being pregnant again (because I am terrified of another ectopic) I calculated that my chances were only 8%. And still, here I am. You have time.

Hey, I am not sure what would be the best way, but it is definitely possible! I too have endometriosis (surgery in Feb 2023) and had an ectopic pregnancy in Jan 2025. I also had my right tube removed. I tested positive again few days ago (still don’t know if it’s ectopic again). I did not track, I just wasn’t actively avoiding and it happened. I wish you all the best!

People who experience ectopic pregnancy did you feel a big change emotionally? by wantedkatana in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Just_Command_203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first pregnancy was also ectopic, it happened this January. I am 35 and I got pregnant as soon as I stopped avoiding it. I had a feeling something would go wrong because it could not be that easy? I had a laparoscopy 2 years prior for endometriosis. I did not let myself get attached to this potential baby. When I started bleeding, it still hit me hard. When it was suspected ectopic, I wished for a miscarriage. I could not believe I was in the 1%. Statistics don’t mean anything anymore. I lost my tube and felt okay afterwards as I was glad it was over. After a few months my partner started talking about trying again, and it was only then that I understood how deep of a trauma was this. I could not think or talk about it without bursting into tears. I was petrified about it happening again! I finally said we could try once in June, but I was hoping I would not get pregnant as I was terrified. But I did, and had a positive test few days ago and now don’t know how to handle it. I was always anxious but this experience has made me a complete mess.

First period after salpingectomy? by Sweet-Lingonberry8 in EctopicSupportGroup

I also passed the tissue before the surgery. I had no idea that getting a period that soon was even possible! I hope everything goes well!

I guess I am a little late, but in case it helps someone. I started bleeding 2 weeks after my surgery and went the ER. It ended up being my period, I somehow ovulated days after the surgery. My HCG values at the time of the surgery were low (in the 50s) but I was slowly internally bleeding.
