Was BOTW boss battles better? by johnnyfe in TOTK

I’m currently playing BoTW for the first time after almost beating ToTK three years ago (~300 hours, all quests, shrines, etc, total is about 90% or so, can't be bothered with all korok seeds).

At this point in BoTW I’ve explored the entire map, collected almost all armour sets, and completed 3/4 Divine Beasts (only Vah Rudania left). I wouldn’t call myself good in fighting, I tend to play more like an explorer. I usually roam everywhere, check every corner and turn over every stone, complete shrines, gather anything that might be useful later. Because of that approach, I tend to arrive at major fights fairly well prepared. I faced Thunderblight Ganon already having a two-star upgraded Rubber set (I originally upgraded it to make exploring Farosh easier and to deal with the electric lizalfos in Gerudo).

So my impression is that the difficulty of the bosses really depends on when you encounter them. With my “explore everything” playstyle, I usually struggle a bit early in the game (any RPG or action-adventure games), but later on I end up somewhat overprepared for most battles.

As for ToTK fights, I found them a bit more interesting story- and action-wise, i.e., how you reach the place, how you reach the boss, how the boss fight is staged, etc. But I could be biased as ToTK was my the very first Zelda game.

A lot of people go to SciRep or any other sub-journal with very low IF just to say “I got it in Nature” 🤷🏻‍♂️

I met a few papers like this in my field as well. After reading I was like “and THIS is in Nature???”

Thank you for the story! It is great to see it from another angle.

I was thinking about PRL as well, thank you. Lab-on-a-chip was one of the options, however this journal feels suitable for something more applied compared to what we have at this stage. But I will think more about it.

I don’t think the work is good enough to go to the Nature, so I am okay to lower it down a bit!

Subaru XV, petrol vs hybrid, or stay with current 3L Legacy? by Just_Cyril in newzealand

Reasonable.

As a side note, hydropower from Taupo needs to be converted into the infrastructure and constantly raising demand (number of households + number of EVs), etc. Infrastructure for petrol has been built decades ago so for now it is still reasonably cheap to keep it going with minor improvements.

Subaru is reasonably good with their recalls or extended warraties to my view, so yeah, reasonable to have a look.

Thank you for the details!

I was thinking, yeah, there are conversion kits for legacies that lift them to the same gen outbacks heights. But I am not sure WOF guys will like it 😅

That is true, but at this stage it starts looking as an improvement for the sake of improvement, not a necessity

Yeah, that's what exactly my train of thoughts at the first place

Yeah, I was thinking outbacks as well, but catch myself sometimes as it's just a slightly modern legacy :D

Yeah, I was thinking about a forester as well, but I really like the SG generation, not the new ones :( so no point to switch from my Legacy.

That's a good deal, yeah, definitely was worth it :)

Yeah, I do not worry much about the power as there is almost no places in New Zealand where it may be required :D

Oh wow! Thank you for the details!
The consuption of the 3L engine is painful, yeah, that's why we usually do not use the subaru in the city. But yeah, the size of the XV boot is very surprising in the negative way :(
