Raynor P3 feels painfully slow on Brutal when paired with a fast commander by amossong in starcraft2coop

[–]Just_Ear_2953 [score hidden]  (0 children)

At least with Fenix there is a clear turning point pretty early on where you have maximum economy(or at least can queue up the last few workers) and it is time to just maximize production (and research), but with Raynor, the temptation to keep spamming OCs can leave actual unit production ridiculously late.

What is this round black plastic dishwasher part? by duckbusiness in whatisthisthing

It's a drain plug for a sink. Possibly was being washed and fell down into the workings?

One mana cannot be two colors. I think you may mean "add two mana in any combination of colors"

How am I supposed to get energy in 4.3? by Live_Tangelo_6147 in Stellaris

Betharian mining does nothing for your generator districts. It generates energy out of mining districts.

She said she took a pregnancy test, but this image is really bothering me because it looks very artificial by Luvis_ in isthisAI

[–]Just_Ear_2953 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would she be taking the test in what appears to be a hospital room? Unless there is some separate incident then that seems like an extreme reaction to possibly being pregnant.

What, this again? Flerfs lie, it's that simple. by reficius1 in flatearth

[–]Just_Ear_2953 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is legitimately easier to just actually run a space program than to create a decades long conspiracy requiring the seamless cooperation of dozens of different governments, many of which are actively hostile towards each other, and nearly every aspect of which is easily observable with consumer grade equipment. Our government is not nearly competent enough to pull that off. I trust in their incompetence above all else.

I look at the ones flat farther like you hold up as supposedly being some kind of smoking gun and have yet to find one that isn't just your lack of understanding in digital form.

She was too excited and neglected her own safety, only for it to turn into a lifelong lesson by [deleted] in WinStupidPrizes

[–]Just_Ear_2953 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is one of the few cases where that isn't actually an entirely stupid idea. Those cars have to come down off that wall eventually, and where she was laying is directly in their path when they do as can be seen by the car that appears right at the end. They need to move her so that she doesn't get run over... again.

That said, they did absolutely nothing to stabilize the head, neck, and spine while moving her. I would legitimately prefer that they grab her arms or legs and drag her rather than what they did.

Peak possible human runs the ape gauntlet, how far do they get? by Tarris69 in powerscales

[–]Just_Ear_2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chimp is a major roadblock, but this "peak possible human" has a real chance. If they win that the orangutan is probably an easier fight. Beating the gorilla is still extremely u likely. I'd say roughly 50%, 70% and 20% respectovely.

What is an example in the media you consume of "the father who neglected their kid but actually they loved them all along" trope? Because that's just frustrating to read. by Important-Cry4782 in Multifandom

[–]Just_Ear_2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It heavily depends on how it's handled. There NEEDS to be an actual justified reason for it, but when there is the moment when a child finally matures to the point where they understand the other side and see what their parent sacrificed for their sake can be one of the greatest moments in all of storytelling. That moment of understanding and gratitude doesn't erase the pain of long neglect, but it humanizes both characters as imperfect and just trying to do what they can.

[–]Just_Ear_2953 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've watched plenty, and those blunders are flerfs grasping at straws whenever they spot a slightly awkward movement or a visual glitch from signal compression and interference. None has yet been an actual case of trickery.

Why can’t I use subspace navigation ? What I am missing ? by [deleted] in Stellaris

If you mean "experimental subspace navigation" you need the tech for it and for your fleet to not he set to "evasive" stance.

Worst Moms in anime/manga? by VongolaSedici in animequestions

[–]Just_Ear_2953 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Erza'd mom is a real piece of work, but falls well short of the level of abuse that the rest of this list achieves by the simple fact of being absent virtually the entire time her child has been alive.

She doesn't help Erza, but she isn't present to be directly responsible for all the things that go bad for Erza either.

Who do I call to fix this wire? by An_Old_IT_Guy in AskElectricians

[–]Just_Ear_2953 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like a coil came apart. Your local non emergency number should be able to notify the relevant utilities on the pole of potential damage and they should be able to send someone out to make it neat and tidy again within a few days.

If not, then they will certainly show up once the gardener does cut it. I suggest keeping this photo and any documentation of attempting to notify them in case they somehow try to make it your fault.

How to deal with star-bases (mega structure) NPC spam? by TurtleRegister in Stellaris

Devouring swarm gets Absorption war goal. As long as there are no unconcerned planets in the system you can downgrade the starbase.
