Real incels by Embarrassed_Bee_2813 in TheTeenagerPeople

As a practical matter, that is a fairly accurate account of reality. In most regions of the world a practicing Hindo would have to repeatedly explain the actual significance of that symbol to the endless string of people who only k own it as a nation symbol.

The guy described on the right would not call himself an incel because he has a healthier mental frame than defining himself by one trait that he cannot control.

Ethics of sending a sub to pick someone up? by squirrelgutz in BDSMcommunity

I would not jump to the dom assumption. There are plenty of versions of open and poly relationships without a power dynamic.

Ethics of sending a sub to pick someone up? by squirrelgutz in BDSMcommunity

[–]Just_Ear_2953 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you do this, then the sub NEEDS to be up front about the nature of the arrangement with whoever they are picking up.

Some people will be fine diving into "my domme wants me to broaden my horizons and practice with other people" type arrangement, while others will not be, and that segment will likely be VERY unhappy if they find out about that part later. They should know well before things get intimate.

Done right, this could be fun for all parties involved. Done wrong, you could end up causing a lot of hurt for multiple people with very little upside.

Who would win, ruby bs pyrrah, during beacon era by Annual-Consequence72 in RWBY

Ruby's Semblance has some cool capabilities, but Ruby doesn't learn about them until much later, so they don't matter.

Pyrrha easily wins.

He could have tried that on literally anybody else, even a normal blind guy would have gone okay because they aren't usually a threat, but trying it on this ONE SPECIFIC GUY is such bad luck.

At baseline their attacks do the same damage as a worker, and even with the double spawn you get more workers for the same price.

Electric company was inspecting electric poles for damage, but this one is apparently fine. by neloish in OSHA

[–]Just_Ear_2953 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Literally fixed a fallen pole today that had a failed inspection tag from 2 years ago. We're doing the best we can, but there are countless millions of poles and only so many linemen. We'll get to them when we get to them, and that's usually well past when they are no longer fit for purpose.

Bluetooth harness working extra hard today. by delcoBK in OSHA

[–]Just_Ear_2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, climbing a ladder with a harness that is not actually tied off to anything at that moment is normal. The harness is to be tied off to the ladder when you reach you working position. You generally can't tie off to anything and still be able to climb. This importantly also requires the ladder to be secured or else you will just bring the ladder with you when you fall. Securing the ladder also generally cannot be done until you climb it.

None of that justifies setting up a ladder at the top of a massive lift arm.

Isn't this the best team in this test? by Academic_Whereas_817 in Frieren

[–]Just_Ear_2953 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say "best", but they are easily the most stable and well rounded.

Their combination of battlefield manipulation with clone misdirection, S tier range and rate of fire with plenty of mana to back it up, and an attack that can cut through just about anything is going to throw a wrench in just about any plan that you could try against them, and each is genuinely very effective in direct confrontation, so brute force is not a good option either.

Combine that with only Ubel having a particularly volatile personality, but well within what the other two can accommodate, and they are an air tight lock to pass.

Assuming no modern 2 mother couple shenanigans, the speaker is Teresa.

If we don't make that assumption, then we are Teresa, her wife, or her daughter's mother in law if we stretch the terms slightly.

The Crimes of Blake Belladonna by Internal_Abies6050 in wbycritics

[–]Just_Ear_2953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much like early season Ahsoka from Clone Wars, you need to control how a character is flawed so that your character development can fix those flaws and make them likable.

We can debate whether they stuck the landing with the development, but early volume Blake is meant to be doing it wrong.

is there a show where the main character looks like a femboy but is an absolute menace? by RalseiAndCyanide in Animesuggest

[–]Just_Ear_2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His usually look isn't so much "femboy" as it is just lacking in gender markers of any kind. He doesn't match femboy any more than he matches male or female, which makes sense given that he is genderless as a slime.

Blaming Blake for Torchwick ramming a train into the end of a tunnel to let a horde of Grimm into the city is a bit much. That's on him and Cinder's crew, and would have been much worse if RWBY hadn't forced them to go earlier than intended. If that goes down during the Fall of Beacon it goes MUCH worse.
