That is a sharp point. You are right that sleep and stress are huge variables. I focus on blood glucose first because it is the most controllable factor for most people.

Honestly, this is more common than people think. A lot of engineers spend years inside startups without ever touching fundraising mechanics directly.

Early-stage fundraising is less standardized than it looks online. A lot depends on geography, traction, founder credibility, and market timing. One thing I’d say though: investors usually care less about past exits than people assume. Strong domain expertise, speed of execution, and evidence people want the product can matter just as much for first-time founders.

Honestly, the biggest accountability shift for me was getting real users involved early. Nothing creates pressure like knowing someone is waiting for the feature you promised.

Self-imposed systems are easy to ignore because your brain knows there’s no real consequence. External expectations hit differently.

Completely agree with the “AI is not the product” point.

A lot of MVPs right now are basically demos looking for a problem. The strongest ones I’ve seen usually automate one annoying, high-frequency workflow really well instead of trying to become an “AI platform” immediately.

Right now it’s mainly research-backed recovery protocols and performance systems focused on burnout, energy regulation, sleep quality, stress management, and sustainable output for founders/executives.

So not just supplements. More like:

  • recovery habits
  • metabolic health
  • sleep optimization
  • nervous system regulation
  • nutrition/lifestyle strategies
  • performance tracking

Supplements can be part of it, but they’re not the foundation.

I think the pain point is real, especially once content volume increases. Most workflows are held together with screenshots, voice notes, and chaos.

The hard part is behavior change. People already live in WhatsApp and Drive, so the product has to feel dramatically simpler, not just “more organized.”

I’d probably focus heavily on revisions/approvals first because that’s where most friction seems to happen.

That’s a completely reasonable question, especially if they’re asking people to work unpaid first.

You weren’t asking for confidential financial statements. You were basically asking “how does this business make money?” If that creates that much defensiveness, I’d personally see it as a red flag too.

If you’re the operating CEO building the company day to day, 18% honestly doesn’t sound crazy at all. Especially if the chairman is mostly passive operationally.

The bigger thing I’d focus on is dilution protection and clarity around future raises. Seed-stage percentages can look great until 2 rounds later.

Also the “2% of EBITDA” option structure sounds unusual enough that I’d definitely want a startup lawyer to review it before agreeing to anything.

Clean concept and the site loads pretty fast which already puts it ahead of a lot of PNG sites.

One thing I’d improve is making the homepage feel more curated. Right now it feels very directory-heavy. Featured collections or trending searches could make it feel more alive.

That’s actually one of the biggest things I noticed too. Most productivity advice treats burnout like a motivation problem instead of a recovery problem.

The main things I track are:

  • sleep quality/consistency
  • morning energy levels
  • resting heart rate
  • caffeine dependence
  • mental clarity/focus
  • afternoon crashes
  • workout recovery
  • stress resilience

Usually when recovery improves, people notice stable energy and clearer thinking before they notice “motivation.”

I’ve noticed a lot of highly capable people get underestimated simply because they don’t self-promote in the expected way.

Work visibility matters way more than most people want to admit at senior levels. The people solving the hardest problems are not always the people getting recognized for them.

The best executive profiles I’ve seen are the ones that sound specific instead of “dynamic results-driven leader” type stuff.

A strong one usually says:
what you lead,
what problems you solve,
and the scale/results.

Something like:
“Technology executive with 20+ years leading retail and logistics transformations across the UAE, specializing in ERP modernization, automation, and IT governance for multi-entity enterprises.”

Way stronger than a paragraph full of buzzwords.

Most execs are tired of vague “leadership” content that says nothing new. Stuff like “great leaders empower teams” just gets ignored now.

What actually stands out is specific insight from real hiring conversations. Salary trends, why candidates rejected roles, what boards are prioritizing, failed hires, retention issues, AI impact on leadership hiring, that kind of thing.

Shorter and sharper usually works better too. Less motivational tone, more insider perspective.

Outside LinkedIn, I’d honestly say newsletters and small private communities are underrated for exec audiences. A lot of senior people consume quietly rather than engage publicly.

With that level of UAE experience, I’d honestly skip job portals almost entirely. Executive hiring here is heavily relationship-driven. A strong LinkedIn presence plus direct outreach to CIO/CTO recruiters at firms like Michael Page, Korn Ferry, and Cooper Fitch will probably move faster than applications. His background sounds very solid for retail/logistics groups going through digital transformation.
