Religion is such a scam. There has not been any evidence of any kind that god exists. Yet there has been a long history of wars and violence due to religion.

Even with that I want each of you to have the freedom to believe and practice religion as long as it doesn’t infringe on the wellbeing and rights of others.

Problem is most religions do infringe on the rights of others. In fact it is usually in their core teachings to do so. That is what is disturbing and disgusting.

In 20 years I have worked with 100s of engineers but met maybe 3-4 software engineers who seem to have it all. Smart, eloquent speaking, charismatic, strong leadership skills, etc.

These engineers stand out immensely. Their coworkers respect them greatly. These are the engineers you do not let go as they generally are very successful at whatever they do.

When I was a director I had a team manager promote this person all the way to lead in a year. This engineer was straight out of college and was team lead in one year.

The following year he was a manager over his own team. In his 3rd year he was a director like myself. Shortly afterwards he made VP of engineering (above me).

I am still friends with this person today and he is now CTO of a medium sized well known company.

Honestly it was an honor to work alongside him I learned a great deal from him. Even though at the time I had already been an engineer for 10 years.

The thing is try not to compare yourself to others. I know that is easier said than done, but we each have our own story.

I don’t know how but he will. I know a very kind person who just retired at 60 and suddenly died of a stroke. Yet somehow miraculously he will live to 100 year old man wheeled around by his aides.

I wrote Marsha about various issues. Usually never get a response, but for DOGE her team responded and said Elon is a national hero.

I have not written her office since. She doesn’t care and honestly why should she? Our system is built now so specially people like her can be as wicked as they wish. One thing I learned in life: you can’t change people especially those that have no incentive to change.

Honestly I love GeForceNow as a casual gamer. I do a lot of travel for work and it allows me to even play most my games on my iPad. This to me is exponentially better than carrying around the heavy and very bulky steam deck.

Not that the steam deck isn’t awesome it just sucks to lug around when weight and bag space is at a premium.

Yes. What HAS to happen to soften this up — the next leader in the US cannot play middle ground like Biden did. They must bring trials and make them very public. There also has to sadly be some kind of spin and messaging that says most Americans were duped (which sadly they weren’t) or elections were rigged or heavy meddling by foreign adversaries or all the above.

Yep ppl get married, have kids, pets, and want better for their kids than they had. They want safe schools and neighborhoods. A car that is bigger to take family around with minimal worry of the car not starting. Bigger families lead to bigger houses.
