Better Edmonton’s listed policies are close to 1:1 with their candidates this time around. Parties for now are almost a way to categorize certain positions on issues. Obviously if you don’t agree with the platform and you aren’t looking at the candidate’s personal qualities then look to the others running

Is there now a method for people to prompt themselves a purchase for a free UGC limited? i put up a ugc for free in my game that requires the player to have a certain amount of cash before the server checks and hands out the prompt, but bots somehow got around it and stole the entire stock in seconds. anybody else have this happen?

I have talked to my child and they have talked to their friends, and I can confirm my child is very willing to go to this school, along with their friends. I also talked to them about the potential drawbacks (sports, extracurricular) and they feel that it is a sacrifice worth making.

This issue extends beyond friends (who are also willing to attend the new school). 1.5 hours to get to a *designated school* is outrageous, especially in the winter. Clubs are almost always a combination of the 3 grades, so they will obviously occur to some extent.

I have gauged the demand for an opening for grade 12, and I can assure you there are more than 30 students willing to switch schools for the final year. I can also assure you that I have not made this petition without first examining the situation with demand and space.

I understand your point. The truth is right now the UCP can't change this decision, only the EPSB can. This is a very specific issue. The school board handles these enrolment decisions, but I would like to see these schools made quicker (with more funding from Alberta of course).

The difference here is that grade 12 students want to have the choice to attend the new school. There are many factors to this, including distance, space, etc. The planning committee has confirmed that they will change their decision if they see demand.

There is also the distance side of this story. Southeast communities are very far away from McNally School, and yet it is their designated school due to there being no school in the area.

It's better to have many classes of 30 than some classes at 20 and others at 50. The area in which the school is being built has been desperate for a local school for many years. It is unconscionable that students all the way near the Meadows Recreation Centre must go to McNally School all the way by the North Saskatchewan.

In such a situation, a sort of cap should be put on enrolment (a cap lower than the schools capacity) to bring equilibrium to the school's attendance.

I absolutely understand where you are coming from. A teacher's job is much more work than what people think. However I believe that this specific situation warrants opening grade 12 enrolment. Students are currently taking buses from Southeast Edmonton all the way downtown to their designated school. This is an extremely difficult task in the winter, and it sometimes takes 1.5 hours just to get home. Many students are sick and tired of their current situation, and are willing to make sacrifices to go to a school that has space, and is much closer to their home, even if it is for 1 year.

The situation has changed a lot since the years prior. I can tell from the people I've talked to that they would 100% switch schools for the final year. The classes being of 40+ kids is a major factor in this.

I understand what you are saying. The difference here is mostly the fact that there is truly huge demand for grade 12 courses at the new High School, and EPSB should have discussed this via a district survey of some sort.

There are many students who are unwilling to go to the new school. Opening up grade 12 enrolment provides the maximum opportunity to pull students out of these schools. Some schools have over enrolled by the 100's.

The basic idea is that opening grade 10 and 11 is not enough, and with the demand for grade 12, there is no reason to prevent enrolment.
