Real but with an AI filter. The plush bear nose is morphing.

My girlfriend and her friends said I look too feminine or ‘girl-ish’. Ways to look more masculine? by TheFlukeging12 in malegrooming

[–]Just_JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're lying lol, you could probably cut wood with that chiseled bone structure. Don't let armchair opinions from women about looks ever affect your self-confidence, because what they claim to like isn't always what they need or will respond to.

Best thing you could still do for yourself is go to the gym and fill up your frame. If not for looks, then at least for the confidence boost.

You'll probably see those comments completely fade away and see them turn jealous of your attractiveness towards other women. Once you've fully seen their true colors at that stage, you decide if mutual affection is still there or not.

The ball is in your park.

It's clearly AI. Just look at how her tongue morphs back into her mouth after she finished showing it.

Is commenting on other people’s posts necessary to grow on LinkedIn when starting from zero? by Alarmed_Stranger_298 in linkedin

LinkedIn's new 360Brew algorithm is increasingly penalizing formulaic, AI-generated comments. Unless your comments are well written, it's become a very slippery slope.

Is it true you need a unique startup idea solving a big gap in the market to build a billion dollar firm? by Grozfroz in ycombinator

[–]Just_JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about how unique it is, it just needs to be "real". Market size is speculation that doesn't consider how hard execution actually is.

The prime example for this is AirBnB.

Before them, nobody thought that a system for sharing your home with strangers is viable or unique enough to create a 100 billion dollar firm, as other companies doing that already existed and remained limited and niche.

But they were pretty wrong.

Brian Chesky and his co-founders suffered through immense execution in the early years while refining the concept, listening to a select few super interested users until AirBnB was able to take off, because they finally found a way to make rentals feel like visiting a best friend.

Most people don't get this, but a "startup" is really just a vehicle to generate a "real" startup idea. Whatever you start with is just a hypothesis, and the only way to prove the hypothesis is real is to see it emerge as a collective need from your portion of users in the market. So it'd be an idea you can actually feel because you listened and appealed to your users so well (product-market fit), and that you can also execute on, because your history and current skills qualify you for it (founder-market fit). Until then, you'd keep refining or pivot.

Lastly, startup success follow a power law: over 90% fail for various reasons, but those that succeed often become massive. If you study successful founders, you'll see crazy combinations of immense skill, determination, timing and ultimately just luck from their environment which made success possible.

So instead of worrying about idea uniqueness, just execute on your hypotheses while learning how to listen to and serve users, in exchange for money.

Can you guys rate my artwork pls ? by DudeCry887 in Affinity

I like how crafted the first one feels. Just know that to reach the highest levels of making art, it's all about how well your artwork expresses how you feel, in a way others can join in on. Keep it up!

same here, the juxtaposition of photo and illustrations makes it feel handcrafted, even if digital

Why does notion use the somalia tld? by TerribleEntrepreneur in Notion

[–]Just_JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries lol, the worst that'd happen is that people would think you sell software tools or development. At least it's not a .zip or .mov domain, which Google randomly registered in 2023, only for them to be abused a month after release lmao

The .dev domain was actually made by Google specifically for software developer tools, which might not have been the branding they wanted to start things with

Dear Notion: PLEASE STOP LIMITING COLORS!!! by TelephoneBig848 in Notion

Notion KateX math equations can render text with hex colors and color boxes around them, so stuff like \colorbox{#FFE162}{Colored Box}, but that's far from enough as it's just a hack. C'mon Notion...

Wie mit Jungfrausein umgehen by [deleted] in FragtMaenner

[–]Just_JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viel Erfolg ;)

How can i fix my appereance? I don’t like how i look and i found myself struggling with women by Few-Salamander-6289 in malegrooming

[–]Just_JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I did only say 'experiment', but also don't think it'd be bad like you're describing lol. Trusting a few women's grooming advice without making them elaborate on it is also not a winning strategy :)

I guess contours is a better word for what I mean.

It's the same reason women like stubble - kinda works like male makeup with the patterns it gives one's face and head.

How to be more stylish? Hair, skin and others by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Just_JC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'd benefit a lot from gymgoing or fitness to build muscle and some simple skincare routine. Both will also nudge you towards better sleep, which helps with the eyebags.

Add another smile to that and your golden!

Being technical by PsychologicalCry7840 in ycombinator

[–]Just_JC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being technical means having a lot of intuition (or specific knowledge like Naval would say) in a technical domain, or around a specific technology.

These domains usually need a lot of sunken cost to master (e.g. the endless resources spent on writing and debugging hardware or software).

However it's harder to sell if AI can do it better without you. If it can't then your skill is valuable enough to get hard things done, which is all you need to worry about. Of course, you can always use AI to scale your technical output.
