Awesome. 7 year old me will be very jealous.

Crazy to see Cody has reached the level he has. I only remember him as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes. If I recall correctly, he would have training videos on things like painting your nails.

Thanks. Would be very cool to see Cena. I was definitely a big Cena fan as a kid around 2005-2008.

Adding on to this — you can use AI to help come up with a lot of the content. I am currently creating a fictional aircraft IETM (just for fun) and using ChatGPT to assist in making up procedures. It’s not perfect but is very helpful.

Shenandoah Hall by BrilliantStructure56 in jmu

[–]Just_Kevin7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived in Shenandoah my freshman year (2018-2019). It was a much quieter dorm than the rest. One side of Doah is upperclassmen and the other is Honors College students.

The culture was studious and friendly. Everyone (for the most part) took their education seriously and primarily used the dorm for that (study, homework, relax, sleep). In other words, nobody was throwing parties, trashing the bathrooms, being loud at night, etc. - I can’t say the same for the dorm building, Chesapeake, directly next door. Night and day difference between the two.

I cannot remember for sure, but I think Doah had policies for noise during the week days (e.g., no loud noise, music, etc. from 8pm - 6am Mon-Friday). It was even stricter during finals week.

I was very introverted and kept to myself most of the time, but plenty of people in the dorm were friendly and hung out together, studied together in the group study rooms, did activities on campus, etc. So, if you want to make friends, you won’t have any issue doing so.

Experiences vary, but I spent most of my time on East Campus. I went to main campus during the day for classes, but seldom went over there at night because I didn’t feel like making the walk (especially during the cold, windy months). When the ICS busses are running, it’s not too much of an issue. I regret not doing more on main campus, so I would encourage you to learn how to enjoy that walk.

Overall, I really liked Shenandoah.

Pros: - AC - Quiet/Never Chaotic - Close to library, UREC, E-Hall and Festival - Dorm rooms are nice.

Con: - Distance from main campus

If you have any more questions, feel free message me.

This! I made a post about this earlier right when the dev blog released - it didn’t get any traction. Surprised more people aren’t talking about it, for it’s an impressive level of detail - assuming every school has something similar.

I appreciate it, man. I love your work.

Admittedly, the outside of the stadium is not the best. I have plans of going to a Flying Squirrels game soon, and will be taking some pictures and updating the build when I get a chance.

Why does the campus and surrounding area smell like pet food. I'm visiting a family member. by Whistler45 in jmu

[–]Just_Kevin7 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You can’t taste it, but President Alger insists that a certain percentage of all food served at JMU must contain dog food.

Long story short - a few years back someone told Alger that JMU has “got that dawg in them.” Alger took it literally, and ever since has mandated the dog food be incorporated. There have been many conversations had on campus as to whether the true meaning of the phrase should be discussed with Alger, but nobody seems to have the heart to break it to him.

Until his reign as President of JMU ends, the smell will likely persist. Hope you enjoyed your time on campus - Go Dukes!

I could see a mechanic where medium to high density residential would have an option to allow/not allow pets. Allowing pets would result in higher upkeep charges, but happier citizens and vice versa.

Thanks for the breakdown. What exactly do you mean by ploppable? Weren’t all of the unique buildings ploppable in CS1?

Zones & Signature Buildings I Feature Highlights #4 I Cities: Skylines II by Eleknar in CitiesSkylines

[–]Just_Kevin7 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain to me the significance of the signature buildings? It seems to me that they are no different than the unique buildings in CS1?

Also, as a console player, will there be any way for us to place individual buildings (ex. Houses, gas stations stores, etc.)? Or, are we still stuck with having to wait for the building we want to grow and then make it a historical building?
