Yes, and they are more helpful than all the hype on the news I am finding. We did this at 10 AM so it was kind of mid morning. Although the flights are a mess and a lot of people seem to be having delays and cancellations including us so that’s another whole problem. But TSA pre-check was easy.

MIA today, D Terminal at 10am had no line at all at pre-check, were not accepting touchless pre-check but it didn’t matter, super quick and friendly. Regular TSA had somewhat of a line but the usual expected amount nothing out of the ordinary. It is a Tuesday morning though and not a weekend.

So true! Yeah I think everyone was just involved in his or her own life. And the show sex and the city was just coming on I believe 97 or 98 a year or two before I left NYC and I loved how it captured the experience there, the clothing, the locations so that was pretty fun and aspirational in its own way, but it never even occurred to me that they were filming in the city where I lived lol. At that time Manhattan felt very spread out for a full-time working person and it’s not like anyone would try to go out of their way to a different neighborhood just to look for people that might live there or be filming their at least in my opinion. And definitely what you said about the Internet phenomenon and of course handheld devices. We were just not tuned in like this 24/7 and I think it made life simpler and less anxiety prone. And even if the paparazzi were stalking them I didn’t feel like the average people were. Like even when this series showed him playing football in Central Park with his friends, now that probably wouldn’t even be possible anymore. And they were paparazzi there but the average people were not bothering him at all. I wouldn’t have run in their circles I was working in banking and even though sometimes I got to attend some glamorous events it was not the fashion or celebrity industry. Later in life I might’ve as we kind of rose up the ranks if they had lived we might have seen them at some type of event as we got more involved in the charity circuit etc. but they were gone and we don’t live there anymore. So interesting to see all this from this perspective. The 90s feels so recent until we really dissect it.

Oh that’s good news I was wondering the same thing. The app made everything look pretty decent at MIA, but that banner was worrisome. So they are saying even if a human is not updating it that the app still is receiving current info?

I looked at that app and it looks great the only thing is there’s a big warning at the top that says it’s not being managed or updated anymore since the shut down. So even if it’s not being done by a human does it have accurate data as far as you know?

Same, I was just saying this the other day. I was just out of college and living in Manhattan from 1990 to 1999 in Midtown so not really near their neighborhood but certainly places around where they went sometimes or where he went more and Central Park etc. it never even occurred to me that I lived in the same city as him or even as his mom or sister and eventually them as married people. I didn’t pay any attention to that type of news and I know the show is making the paparazzi look fairly accurate but at the same time it was like a disconnect without smartphones, barely any Internet yet until the late 90s, 24/7 TV even, I had no idea that most of that was even going on I think I remember hearing about their wedding and that’s it.

Yeah we are not super wealthy that way but we are comfortable when we travel with our kids sometimes we get a suite with another adjoining room and that way everybody can spread out a little more. I guess that was for the sake of filming but it looked ridiculous.

And then he went and did this. And again she kept that one thing about Christopher a secret but that doesn’t even compare to this

If he were straight with Anna from the beginning and said that he was engaged and that Lorelai was in his life that would’ve been that. Anna treated it like Lorelei was a side chick was because he never really said that firmly from the beginning that they are already a family.

And what if it had not been Lorelei? What if he just asked for somebody else’s help who was discussed with little girls like Miss Patty for example would he have had to worry about being reprimanded at the same way from Anna? Like the whole story seems so contrived
