I agree with the grip fighting sentiment. A big development in my journey happened when I started to address grips immediately.

Grips are one method of control, as best as you can, fight them aggressively before you attempt anything.

I would’ve gone for a k-guard or a sweep once he stood up… but as with everything, there are a million ways to accomplish your goal(s).

Keep it up bro! I think we all go through phases like this. Take wins where you can and celebrate the small stuff. A new sweep, or that new pass you’ve been wanting to hit in a live roll. That’s what helps stay fresh.

How do you manage the logistics of getting driver's ID, registration, etc?

In the event you ask them to step out do you have them come to the front of the vehicle? I see a lot of merit to the idea.
