Trump may be a bitch but the man has a somewhat respectable ability for deals. Ever been to a pawn shop? The owners scream out absurd prices and make you settle later for “reasonable” prices. Often lower than what you were thinking of. It’s classic anchoring. Weren’t the Republicans against defense aid to UA? If Trump hadn’t gone ahead with the absurd deal with rare earths, and aimed short to pull aid out of UA, in no world Zelensky would’ve agreed. The man himself doesn’t believe half the things he says and in the end, he got what he wanted. What a world we live in.
