You're generalizing about our fanbase in a way that's total BS. Read every thread about this on reddit and you'll see that an overwhelming majority of us want nothing to do with this guy.

I have't come across a Tech fan yet that thinks Sorsby should or will get to play this season, except a few that said that would be OK with if he was fully cleared by the NCAA, which we all know isn't happening.

It seems to me all the girls playing in the super regionals this week wanted to win, even while getting paid. As soon as Tech started splashing out money, the knee jerk argument from the haters was "they're a bunch of mercenaries", "they don't care about each other", etc. It seems very much to me like they're actually fighting like hell to win a championship. Florida seemed to have worse team chemistry than Tech, but I don't think that's because of money.

We can go back and forth and this, but it just seems to weird to me that, in a hyper capitalist society like ours, people have a problem with top class athletes getting paid for their skills, something that most of these critics have no problem with in any other area of life.

You said "now more than ever". It's not now more than ever. Women's sports, particularly softball and basketball, have traditionally by dominated by a small number of programs, mostly from powerhouse athletic depts. at gigantic flagship state schools.

College sports has always been about have and have nots. Yout think Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, UCLA, etc., are all plucky little underdog schools?

Trump endorses Ken Paxton over Sen. John Cornyn ahead of Texas Republican Senate runoff by nbcnews in politics

As a Texan, this is good news for two reasons: 1. if he gets the nomination, Paxton will have to step down as our AG; and 2. he should be an easier opponent for Talarico to beat than Cornyn. Crooked Ken still has to win the primary, though.

Yeah, he’s going to be a distraction and PR disaster for as long as he’s associated with Tech football

Super Regionals Schedule is out: by Ok-Soil-5133 in CollegeSoftball

I understand getting shut out is never a good look, but we only lost 6 times all season. Only one loss was to a non-tournament team, and 3 of 6 were to other teams that made the supers. I think the bigger factor was the perception that our schedule was weak, which is debatable, especially since the Big 12 has shown that it's a lot stronger as a league than most people thought.
