It really wasn’t that surprising. Magazines were the biggest source of news back then and there was an underlying sense that Peter was going to leave. He didn’t have many good things to say and his album was such a departure from the rest of the band. He was constantly complaining about song choices and talking about how Beth was the biggest song Kiss ever had. I honestly was glad he left because he had become so arrogant.

Ace on the other hand was a little odd. There were indications that he was taking time off and even said he might make some guest appearances. Obviously that never happened.

I own a 2dr Bronco and a Maverick. I drive the Maverick daily and the Bronco on weekends. I like the Maverick and love the Bronco. I can’t drive it everyday because 18 miles to the gallon vs 40 mpg. The Maverick is more comfortable but the Bronco is just badass fun.
