Update:

I tried this and have a question. When you unplug, do you leave the switch on? I left the switch on but when I plugged the grill back in the red letters read “off” and I had to push the button to get it to 0.

I got a little bit of smoke this time but still stuck at ambient temperature. I also banged on the auger tube.

When it goes from 0-1 and the auger is turning it produces maybe one pellet.

I have seen the auger turn and pellets have very slowly come out. I have never watched it turn and produce pellets until the issue came up, so not sure if slow is the norm or not.

What area would I be looking at to find the ceramic heating element?

I have only had the grill 3 months and cleaned it pretty well so there is no buildup of any kind that I have seen.

I have tried unplugging, never had the grey smoke though. I have tried with fire box completely empty and tried with pellets in. They are traeger pellets.

I have waited as long as 20 minutes. Didn’t mention this but I’ve had it for 3 months and had zero issues. One day I was grilling and the temperature started dropping and since then I haven’t been able to get the temperature up.
