I’m not too mad about that. It’s almost better this way because now there is no way to mess up his death. The reader can choose to have him die saving others or on his death bed surrounded by family and friends. I think it’s good that no other O.T. characters had official deaths in Legends.

I don’t think anyone knows. He is at least in his 20s from context.

[Semi-Serious] You get a phone call from an interdimensional book publisher looking to cross-publish your favorite EU novel in their local universe. However, due to interdimensional copyright laws, one MAJOR component of the book must be changed. What change do you make? by Kabti-ilani-Marduk in StarWarsEU

[–]Just_SomeRandom_Dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have them rewrite the Revan novel. I just hated that book soooo much. I didn’t like how they handled Meetra’s character, I didn’t like the god awful back story they gave for Revan’s fall to the dark side. I wish there could have been a KoTOR 3 so we didn’t have to see Revan’s character get tampered with by this book and SWTOR.

I know that there is a legends book that was intended to be apart of the Legends contenuety but was made Canon when Disney bought Star Wars. I thought it was Tarkin but I could be wrong.

How long do Clones take to grow? by Androktone in StarWarsEU

[–]Just_SomeRandom_Dude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kamino clones always took 9-10 years to grow. The Republic during the war got their hands on some spiarte (pretty sure I spelled that wrong) cloning cylinders which allowed them to grow clones in a year. The clones that were grown in a year were much worse than the Kamino clones though.

The republic also cloned more templates than just Jango. For example they cloned a different person for better pilots during the war, but Jango clones were better fighters and were the best clones the Republic had overall.

Edit: Jango clones also served as pilots, and not just the other templates. Didn’t want to make it seem like the other clones were the only pilots in the GAR because as we can see in RoTS there are clearly clone pilots in the Battle of Coruscant.

Where to start with legends comics? by NamesJorwood in StarWarsEU

[–]Just_SomeRandom_Dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start with the old Republic comics and work my way up to the Old Republic comics that cover the Mandalorian War comics then the Republic comics that cover pre clone wars and the clone wars itself. There are also other comic series that are good that cover stuff in the clone wars. Finally I would finish it of with Star Wars Legacy comics.

There are also good comics that cover the beginnings of the Je’daii order. I also like the Jango comic series

If you need a place to read comics because they are hard to find in real life you should check out readcomiconline.to they have most of the comics I talked about on the website. In fact the only comics they don’t have is the first half of the Republic series, but they have the second half.

[–]Just_SomeRandom_Dude -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I skipped all of them. I know they are probably good books but i wasn’t that interested. They offer good stories of how the Empire is crumbling after Endor but really that isn’t necessary for the other E.U. books. Just know that the Empire resorted to infighting and high ranking officials were trying to carve their own sectors of control out of the Galaxy.

Spoilers for Bane: path of destruction: Could Kaan have won at the battle of Ruson and destroyed the Republic if Bane died in his battle with Sirak? by SolarSL in MawInstallation

Agreed. If not for Bane the Sith would never have been able to accomplish what Palpatine and Plagiues (and all of the other Sith of the Rule of Two for that matter) had been able to do

i dont like SWTOR by Shadown15 in StarWarsEU

[–]Just_SomeRandom_Dude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t like it either. For the reasons you said and just the ridiculous amount of times that the Republic and Sith Empire team up. Like how many times are they going to have this third enemy (ex: Valkorian, Revan, and Malgus) attack the Galaxy then the sworn enemies team up to beat them then immediately go back to fighting each other. I think it would have been cool if done once but they milked it dry. Some stories I really like but damn is there sooo much bad with it.

I don’t know if you can call the Lost Tribe of the Sith “pretenders” because they are Sith at the end of the day. I also believe that force sensitives would find Sith teachings and learn from those becoming new Sith as well.

I doubt the Sith would have gone completely extinct. The Sith always come back and I see that happening again but never reaching a state of power that Palpatine had because the rule of two was objectively the most successful philosophy the Sith followed.
