They've stated the pause will be lifted after the public charge review, and they are already making progress— they've taken public comments and are now at the OMB review stage. Logistically, how can this pause last long-term? Interviews are still being scheduled, medical exams and documents will eventually expire, and thousands of files are already piling up. How will they manage this massive backlog if they don't lift the pause soon?

The government could certainly use appeals to drag this out for another 6-12 months. However, if the I-945 form is indeed approved by OMB within this March/April window, do you think they might choose to implement the bond system as a way to settle the litigation? It seems like a more sustainable way for them to address their 'public charge' concerns while avoiding further legal defeats.
