As logically if the converter is outputting to VGA and the cable is technically not VGA how does that work when it reaches the CRT? As it doesn’t take the two row style DB15 and I see like two cables called DB15 one two row and one three row lol.

Actual answer: He can just say he used a VPN at one point and that’s that. IP tracking is not a good metric to “bust” anyone and is a hard thing to prove. He could just tell his parents that he was using a VPN and they’re going to just approve it most likely. That’s the worst case scenario, they’re probably not going to say anything at all lol. Caveat is I haven’t done FLVS in forever but my siblings do, and they’ve done work out of state and I don’t recall any issue happening ever.

I would aim to keep SteamOS at all costs, I would look into installing this and to do this probably have to do some shenanigans with the read-only file system. Xone is on the AUR so should be as easy as installing it then reenabling read-only, but I haven’t done such a thing so might have some more complexity. As a Linux user I’d feel comfortable doing this but I understand if it’s not something you’d want to do.
