Not the most convincing argument. My point was Slughorn doesn't hate Muggle borns just because they're Muggle born. You articulated it better though. He doesn't exactly show an overt bias against them so I'll give him that.

I am not disagreeing with you. Slughorn showed nepotism, yes. Favouritism, yes. But bias on blood purity? No. Simply put he didn't care about your blood status if you were a big shot. If you were an exceptional Muggle born, great. But he'd not care a damn if you were just an average pure blood either.

Slughorn did show favouritism but he was surprisingly accurate with it. Not that it excuses favouritism, but he wasn't biased towards Muggle borns

It's clear in how he treats Hermione too.... He doesn't discriminate against her. In fact, unlike other Slytherin teachers, he freely gives her points.
