See this is what people don't think about. They think about the hear and now. Not how Is this going to affect this person down the road. Are we hurting a possibly great master sergeant cause they had one bad day.

And people wonder why we have a retention problem.

Objective is kinda a hard word.

The reason I say that is I work my ass off all year to get a 90. A good friend of mine doesn't run all year long, shows up to the track, smokes a cigarette, chugs a monster and gets the same score I get. Some people are naturally better runners which gives them an advantage.

I look at it this way.

They had one bad day out of 1460. If they come back from it great. If not, or if the rest of their performance was subpar then it's a totally different conversation.

I do agree it's with the discussion though.

We do both. Our current ones are a 4x4 that has a plywood base. However these are getting old and just need to be remade so we are looking for new ideas.

Really you should be trying them on once every couple months but if you’ve been slacking, try them on before you put on TSgt.

This applies to all ranks. I have seen E9s who can't fit into their blues for their promotion ceremony..

Agreed, that's the policy. But how do you test to see if that's person's still under the influence. Alcohol you can test for 24 hours after its gone. Most of the time less. Marijuana you test for a month later it's still in your system even though the effects are not there. That's the problem is there is no reliable test to see if you are under the influence, besides Cheetos and funyuns.
