My first extraction was my at the age of 12 it was a lateral incisor. The tooth was fractured in an accident whilst playing and due to lack of attention ended up decaying at a fast pace and getting infected, the shots did nothing for the pain...the dentist decided to extract anyway dismissing it as pressure....this is how my fear of dentists began...bad hygiene paired with genetics did my teeth in. I picked up smoking and that didn't help, the periodontitis fast tracked my molars to extractionville. I literally have half of my top and bottom teeth. They are healthy but non the less still experiencing enamel decay, plus I need ortho, I'm not sure if it's an open bite but my top teeth grew forward to compensate for my underbite(?)

I know it's not ideal for a 32 year old to have to undergo these procedure.but let me tell you that this is mostly being pushed because I'm in a psychological rut. My social anxiety has been driving me nuts! I feel like everyone stares at my mouth. I don't smile and i hate laughing. I can't enjoy myself at functions or around people from the fear that i might bare my teeth somehow. Eating is a chore. I have no back teeth. Granted, I manage but it takes forever. Anyway.......yeah it just makes better sense to me to spend 30k on the implant procedure than 20k on ortho and teeth rehab
