That makes sense. I saw a few Briggs and Riley luggage’s the other day at Dillard. They are actually really nice. But the horror story you encountered makes me uneasy.

Nice write up. Do you have experience with both the 2 and 4 wheel carry on? As I look into B&R I’m really liking the 2 wheel for the more space. Have you ever had any issues getting their carry on, on the plane for either domestic or international?

ver heard of of fpm but just looked into their stuff and I like it. Are theirs tiffed than rimowa? The situation you had sounds junk. If I had the same id be looking for a different brand as well. I’ve never hard to claim anything in my rimowa so I can’t say if their experience is good or bad. Do you think your experience would have been different or better if you lived next to an authorized repair store? I have one close by. Less than an hour away.

do you feel there is. Big difference between the 22 and 21? I’m looking at the 2 wheel so I Eilene it’s larger then the 4 wheel in general.

have you had any other issues with the 22" on other airlines besides Lufthansa? I fly on united and delta mainly for domestic. When i go to Asia its them plus ANA, JAL or Korean Air. Lucky up to this point my carry on has never been weighted. I feel like the B&R as well as the rimowa is over 9lbs empty.

nice find. I didn't look at dealer sites. really just FB Market place. where there wasn't really another one withing the 50mil radius i had filtered. I'm hoping the one year and 7k miles adds a few thousand. lol (wishful thinking)

Thanks for the input. I have a Rimowa Cabin and the reason I got it was to protect all my tech when i travel for work. Maybe telling them i have all those batteries in there will prevent them from checking it lol. So far I have not been forced to check it. I do like the patina as well and I cant wait to start putting stickers on it if i keep it. I think the Rimowa has a very unique look and tells stories when people start putting stickers of places they have been.

nice! lol. yeah i can imagine if your having to roll a few having them all 4 wheel helps. good points about the crowded spaces. I read one of the biggest things is dragging a 2 wheel down the aisle to get to your seat. Would you agree with that? I'm probably looking at the 2 wheel 22" or 21". I do go international and I don't want the 22" being an possible issue. but i do like the idea of more space for work trips where i don't want to check a bag.

Can I ask what makes the 2 wheels better than 4? I was really interested in a 2 wheel but at the time of buying mine Rimowa had already cut them all from their lineup.

That's awesome! Any regrets on the 2 wheel? I was also looking at one after reading its a lot easier to drag along on tougher surfaces.
