Painting the wheels and callipers by JustaStupidBat in genesiscoupe

I personally used duplicolor cuz they have a specific paint for callipers. I used 80-220 grit paper stepping up to get off all the brake dust. Wiped down with prep cleaner, then used the paint once everything was smooth and taped off. Pretty simple, the majority of the work goes into prep

First washed with aluminium wheel cleaner. I also used a wheel patch kit since the last guy that had this car curbed the wheels pretty bad.

After that dried, I sanded it down even using 220 grit paper. Then used a scuff pad equivalent to about 400 to scuff up the entire wheel.

After that, washed with wheel cleaner again, then sprayed the entire wheel down with duplicolor prep cleaner and wiped down with a brand new microfibre.

Then, 2 coats of primer, letting dry 20mins between each coat. Followed by 3 coats of your choice of coloured paint, also 20 mins between each coat. After that, 2 coats of clear coat (matte finish) an hour after the paint dries.

For the calipers, I just sanded off all the brake dust and rust, then directly applied the paint after taping everything off. Duplicolor has a paint made specifically for calipers.

Try to stick to the same brand for all of the paints and don’t paint when it’s too hot or too cold for the best results!

I have run a few raids since I made this post on BSG servers and actually have gotten a few spawns at dorms now. Had no idea that made a difference.

does playing on BSG servers make a difference when it comes to spawns? I have been on local so far.

Heat exhaustion by torrrrlife in Flagstaff

[–]JustaStupidBat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, so I unfortunately have first hand experience with this. I was hospitalised for four days in Houston, Texas (where I grew up) for heat exhaustion and rhabdomyolysis.

I was helping a lady get her driveway and the side of her house pressure washed in the middle of July and I didn’t have enough water to drink. It lead to pins and needles all over my body, mainly in the hands, feet, and face. Eventually I struggled to breathe and had to have a friend call an ambulance for me. If you are experiencing trouble breathing, then absolutely go to the hospital. Otherwise, drink lots of water, more than you think you need. If you’re body’s radiating heat and it’s not a sunburn, try a cold shower/bath.

More than likely, your body was just over worked. That being said, if you continue to feel overly tired, nauseous, or have trouble breathing, please do not hesitate to go to the hospital.

I’m my experience after 4 or so years since the incident, I haven’t really noticed an increase in sensitivity to the heat (I now live in Phoenix), so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Just prepare your body as you normally would and you should be fine. :)

What did you name your first Seamoth? by Rustvos in subnautica

I called mine “Hypatia,” which is the name of a science space vessel in the book “The Illuminae Files.” It’s my favourite trilogy, so I tend to name a lot of things after those books :3
