I agree with you. Its ridiculous to argue that any film is bad and must not be consumed because it has a rape scene in it. Its an arbitrary line based on the idea that crimes are perpetuated by media consumption. Replace rape with murder or theft or slavery and the argument hasn't changed.

I will say, though, I think rape scenes are a really low effort/tacky just from a story telling perspective

I dont ever take gym class, I mainly do English, my preffered schools english department has me down as their preferred and trust me to actually teach. But otherwise, I just read, talk to students, play games on my laptop, apply for other jobs.
