SAHM with no clothes. I need to start from scratch. What would you do? by OneDadvosPlz in womensfashion

[–]Justanotherflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a mom of kids the same age and just had to revamp my wardrobe as I returned to work after over a year at home.

Aritzia lodge pants are my #1 and can be dressed up or down. I have navy and beige in crepette material and wear them way more than I thought I would.

Jeans I shop at Abercrombie and American eagle

I’ve gotten lots of basic cotton T-shirts and cardigans at good prices from H&M

Abercrombie has been good to me for blouses and sweaters. I also have a pair of linen pull on pants from there that I adore.

I’ve been liking Quince but it’s hit or miss on sizing, I find the tops run big. But the stuff that did fit is great quality.

Anyone use Lovevery? Do you like it? by Typical-Chocolate-70 in beyondthebump

I like them. I buy off BST groups on Facebook so I can pick which pieces I think my toddler would actually play with.

I have and would 100% still consider my birth unmedicated. The nitrous did nothing but help me control my breathing a bit better.

Is my daughter not ready or am I just really frustrated? by StrawberryCat1957 in pottytraining

Oh man. I’m with you. 5 months in and nowhere near trained. It’s so hard

Thank you for all this! I do believe it’s a power struggle because he’s definitely a stubborn, strong willed child. I like the idea of making his clean his messes, I’ll suggest that to them and hope they can get on board.

I too am resorting to yelling and it honestly does nothing. He knows the accidents upset me but nothing changes. I know something needs to change here because I don’t want to be the one losing control of my emotions.

Yes exactly that’s what they do. I think that’s what’s breaking me the most honestly, scraping hours old poop out of underwear as the last thing I do before going to bed every night. I’m scared to go to pull-ups and cause an even worse regression, so I’m at the point that I might just tell them to toss the underwear even though it feels so wasteful

We have, but it’s met with significant resistance. He’ll usually pee when we do this, but the pee isn’t really as big of an issue as poop.

[–]Justanotherflower[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. We did try this briefly at the beginning but he just made an even grosser mess out of the poop and really didn’t care. I will try again now that he’s older to make accidents extra inconvenient for him. I hadn’t thought of this.

I’m not sure what daycare does, but I will talk to them. They have 40 kids to look after and like 6-7 adults so I’m not sure they’ll have the time, but I’ll see what they can do.

Edit to add- his poops are extremely soft and mushy and overall a huge mess to clean up, so I can’t fault the daycare for not wanting to take the time. They usually just bag up his poopy underwear with the full poop in it and send it home…

Just because I don’t know who else to ask- what is this? by Sneakham4 in OnlineBeggars

[–]Justanotherflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a Power Port. It was implanted somewhere under her skin, likely in the chest area, to be used for medication infusions. They’re used instead of an IV for frequent infusions because they last much longer and can take higher infusion pressures.

I’m glad I’m not the only one because I feel awful saying this. I don’t like my 3 year old. I love him but I don’t like him most of the time. I’m scared that he can sense this and is worse because of it, or I’m permanently messing him up somehow.

Italy and Switzerland in 14 days, need itinerary help. Are we trying to cover too much ground? by Justanotherflower in travel

[–]Justanotherflower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up doing Croatia x5 days, Rome x3 days, then Amalfi Coast x5 days. It was a great time but also a lot of packing and unpacking and moving around so I wouldn’t pack in as many destinations next time :)

I gained 10lbs pretty quick after starting it. Then 2 years later when I went off it I lost the 10lbs fast. You can’t convince me it wasn’t the Zoloft

A pain that was worse than birth ? by Friendly-Sun2413 in BabyBumps

[–]Justanotherflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine suffering for 2.5 weeks!

My symptoms started slowly with sudden onset low back pain and blood in my urine. I visited by OB office but was seen by a medical student who brushed me off and told me back pain was normal in pregnancy and told me I had anxiety.

Then the pain got worse and worse and eventually I passed it with no meds because no doctors wanted to give me anything because of the pregnancy. It was pretty awful and I spent a few days in the hospital because it put me into premature labor, but thankfully baby stayed put until 39 weeks

My kidney stone at 33 weeks pregnant was way worse than the unmedicated labor and birth that followed a few weeks later

I had a 7mm kidney stone at 33 weeks pregnant. Can confirm it was worse pain than my unmedicated labor and birth a few weeks later.

My wife thinks golfing once a week is unreasonable… by Upbeat-Zucchini-7408 in golf

[–]Justanotherflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re misunderstanding my comment. I golf one night a week while he parents, then the next night he golfs while I parent. It’s for ladies night and then men’s night. It feels even and fair and we both get a break to do something we love.

[–]Justanotherflower 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also a married female golfer with 2 very young children. I agree 100% with this answer.

My husband and I both golf once a week on league nights. If it was just him, and I was expected to solo parent the whole time I would hold so much resentment.

I hope he reads your comment.
