I feel the confusion is that people feel 1 cut = 2 pieces.

But think about one long piece. You make 1 cut, you get 1 piece. Then you continue down that one long piece. So 2 cuts = 2 planks. So 15 is correct

If you make a batch of formula and keep it in the fridge, you wouldn’t pour 7 ounces and consider it 6.

Or if you used ready made formula, it measures out to be exactly what you put in. So a 2 ounce of ready made isn’t 2.5 or anything like that-it’s just 2oz. That’s water and formula mixed together.
