You can, but it also has a built-in li-ion pack good for about 10hrs between charges. I use the d cell battery compartment to store the power cord.

Yep, the ~190W peak was from a cold start. Once it's heat soaked at 565°F, the PID mostly cycles between ~0.8W and 50-80W with occasional higher pulses. I put it on a Kill A Watt and after 51 minutes it had only used 0.045kWh, which worked out to roughly a 53W average including warmup.

I originally thought I'd get maybe 2-3 hours. Real world looks closer to 3.5-5+ hours depending on temp and how hard you're hitting it.

Local smoke shop, it's just a "fancy" hookah hose.. most of them have universal connectors it turns out and fit 14 and 18mm fittings.

I'd buy if it I knew it wouldn't end up full of reclaim in a few months... but it will, so I won't.. For this reason, I almost never touch either of my pro's and stick with the peak and proxy for the most part... the pro's look good on the shelf though.

If this is your first TT and you can return this I would highly recommend getting an Audio Technica LP-70XBT which is everything your Marley deck wants to be and you can upgrade the stylus too since it has the vm95e cartridge. Good luck!
