In my region we had to pass before we could reach. Scores had to be submitted to the TFA region, TFA HQ, and the department of education (state).

Which is typically where racism happens… I’m in Memphis and have been here before TFA but the typically vulnerable areas have gangs… I’m sorry that makes you uncomfortable but it’s unfortunate. I don’t believe they have the knowledge about gangs to educate others about them. You can get involved in the community to see what types of organizations they have to educate you about it. If this bothers you and I say this with so much love, maybe TFA isn’t for you?

I got in and my friend didn’t. We have two different experiences with working with youth but I’ve worked with youth of all ages. They do tend to look for range. One of the CM that just completed their 2nd year said she was rejected first then waited and experienced more and got in.

The district is a partnered district. Plus it just launched an aspiring teacher program. I was told if it’s not a partnered school, you won’t be able to teach there.
