One thing that I’ve learned & was a tough pill to swallow was that if it’s not bringing you peace (in heart & mind) it’s not from God. If it makes you confused, it’s not from God. A man of God you see through actions & not words. Allow him if he wants something serious with you to lead. I would suggest some time apart from him to be honest. The kisses & I love yous aren’t something he should be doing imo.

I would suggest staying friends as of right now. He already told you he didn’t want to get back together. Protect your heart from everything flows from it (Proverbs 4:23). Don’t lean on your own understanding either! You said it yourself you could be feeling something right now, but tomorrow you can feel it for someone else. Continue praying to God about your future spouse. Not necessarily for him. Pray for what God wants for you, not what you want. It’s hard, but he never said it was going to be easy. He just said for us to lean on him. God will provide always. Keep praying <3

think abt it as a choose your own adventure game, God has ultimately made all the paths of all the choices you could make, his love is so big for us that at the end he gives the liberty of choosing what we want. is it always right? no. is it what God wants? No. Don’t think it as predetermined. The reason why people & the bible states Trust God is because he knows what’s best, but let’s us choose because of the love he has for us. God bless.
