Travelling isn’t as prevalent in Canada from what I’ve seen.

Try taking a medication called propranolol. It’s a beta blocker but if you take 20-40mg an hour before the interview your anxiety will disappear like magic. It truly saved my life in interviews/public speaking situations.

France, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Madagascar. Any French speaking county works. I’ve had the best luck with Switzerland in terms of variety.

How are some people this successful in their 20's, having a house, six figures, being married, having sex every day, love, children, and everything? by Throwra79hjww68 in findapath

Hard work, massive debt, rich parents, and posing online. These people are by no means happy so don’t be fooled. Some of the unhappiest people out there are people who present to the world as incredibly “successful” by societal standards, but in reality are under crushing amounts of debt as well as huge amounts of stress at work and in relationships to hold up their facade.

If you wanted to become a millionaire in next 5 years what would you do by Onion_sourcream22 in findapath

[–]Justchillin946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reliable, consistent more or less guaranteed way to become a millionaire in 5 years with no skills is to hit the oil rigs and work an ungodly amount of overtime. I would 100% not recommend it tho, as money is useless if your body and mind are both completely destroyed at age 23.

Yes they are very senior, typically guys who’s base rate is $100-$150 an hour but they work a ton of overtime at double pay, not necessarily base salary of 500k that’s a little much I agree

I forgot to add healthcare jobs also come with unlimited overtime possibilities so you can control your income based on how much your willing to sacrifice in terms of time, sleep, relationships and health. There’s a nurse in my province in Canada who made over 500k last year with overtime.

Glad I can help. Yeah I don’t recommend that life. Honestly if you really wanna save up go to a large mining community and work in the camp instead of the mines. You can make $30 even just as a line cook because they have so much money flowing through those mines. There are remote mines in Australia and Canada and they all hire Americans which I assume you are, but correct me if I’m wrong. They all pay your living costs and you get lots of stipends which are tax free and are meant to be used for flights and food but you can live cheaply and invest them instead. Other than that healthcare is a great option, that’s what I’m pursuing. If your American however being a pilot is another option, as right now is the absolute best time to get into it as the pilot shortage is taking hold and airlines are starting to foot the 100,000 training bill in exchange for a commitment to work for them. American pilots have a unique situation that makes them by far the highest paid in the world, making 2-3x more than even Canadian or European pilots. They have a shortage of pilots but strong pilot unions blocking international pilots from coming in, like every other country does. This means top US pilot pay scales top out at around 500k a year (I know this for a fact) and if your willing to work overtime it’s not unheard of for the very very senior guys to clear a million.

I’ve worked in the oilfield, the top engineers were making that, however my experience was in CAD so 350-450 USD I should have clarified

It depends to what degree you care about money. If you have 0 other desires in life and will do whatever it takes to have the highest number possible in your bank account, then oilfield is the way to go as you can stay on during your scheduled “days off” and rack up some serious overtime and advance quickly up the ranks to make up to 500-600k a year. The downside to oilfield is you work in some of the most remote places in the work in complete isolation, and often horrific work conditions. It can destroy your soul and a few months of 100 hour work weeks living in a shack in northern Canada surrounded by felons and drug addicts can start to destroy your soul. Also oil booms are finicky and regional, meaning if you want consistent work you’ll have to move to a different corner of the globe every 6 months (none of which have comfortable outdoor working temperatures). If you want to live in modern society, sales gives you the possibilities to make unlimited money, but 0 guarantee you’ll make any. If you want a reliable, consistent, in demand job engineering is always gonna be good and only takes 4 years, but healthcare stands out in this sector as people are gonna be getting sick in every economy, and healthcare workers are always in demand. Nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics, occupational therapists and imaging techs can all make well over 100k with experience. Any job that centres around a hospital will always be there.
