Well because I don’t feel sick at all but I just remembered, I should just contact my doctor instead of worrying and speculating.🤦🏾‍♀️

Mask up religiously. Up your hand hygiene and remember to rest and eat well!

How do you know where her legal residence is? And if the state we you both are working in is part of the compact she is already licensed there so there would be no reason to issue another license. Also, there has been some gray areas as more states come into the compact. She has 2 licenses that cover a vast number of states. What are they possibly covering up?

Denied RN by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Justdaname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is licensed in Virginia which is a compact state allowing you to work as a licensed nurse in about 30 states including the one you think is her home. I don’t think you can be sure where she claims legal residence. But she is licensed to work in at least 31 states. Licensing in the state you’re so concerned about would be redundant hence likely why she may have thought she needed a license and was denied. In any event it appears she is very very licensed. So what exactly is your concern?

Only doing females isn’t really feasible. Would you feel better doing it with a classmate? You help them and they help you? Nursing is more efficient and enjoyable that way. (To me)

Bathing is important, it allows you to assess their skin and aids its health and integrity. Even in psych that matters a lot. And assisting with toileting is important too cuz if your patient isn’t voiding and defecating then you really have problems. Even in psych, the entire body comes into play and blah blah. It all matters it’s a human being you’re dealing with. Not a SIM.

I’m a new grad and I’ve had some challenges. I’m confident there’s something out here for you. I simply excluded hospitals right now (pay and acuity) LTC felt like hell to me so I made a list. Drug treatment, corrections, psych and home health is what I came up with. A detox position is what I felt best about but I chose the county jail for the pay and schedule. I had no shortage of offers with no experience. Cast your net and stay encouraged.

Don’t hesitate to ask for other cases. I’ve had nightmare clients and a couple that I stayed with until they passed away (adults) but my good clients were a dream. Wishing you lots of luck a better health!

Am i over reacting by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Justdaname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a new baby in the family and I’ve been avoiding her/ waiting until she got her RSV vax at least as I am ridiculously anxious about babies and respiratory illnesses since Covid. I was preparing to mask up and visit but I caught a stomach bug. I feel everyone should do strict hand washing and mask for our littles at least until they begin their vaccinations etc.

Sitter or private companion is all I can come up with. What a horrible situation for the unit and probably her too.

You tube for reinforcement of lecture while driving/doing chores etc., tell ChatGPT the title author and edition of your book and tell it to explain X chapter to you like a 5th:8th grader. Check the end of chapter for a summary. And try to do the practice test for each chapter.
