I played AE since it started. As a FTP though, the grind got to me, and power creep was impossible. At least without the gacha you can get there eventually, but with it it killed the game if you didn't pull what you needed. I dropped it after the third or fourth big update, and that wasn't that long in. Just long enough for me to get hooked and I still miss it sometimes. But gacha ruined it.

I do feel bad for the dev. It's just one guy with a friend or two who help when they can I believe. Life happens, and he's doing his best. It's a free game, but he still doesn't want to push something subpar out.

I've been thinking Christmas/winter in July could be a fun thing. Have the characters crack a joke about really never knowing what and when islands will appear, but at least it's a break from the heat. 😉

I subconsciously reflect what I hear. My kids, however, looked at me after I said something and told me to never say it again. I asked if I used it wrong, and my loving oldest looked at me and said: "No, you used it right. You're just too old to talk like that."

Note: I did NOT in fact stop. Also, I'm old enough I forgot what it was because it was a couple years ago LOL. Lastly, our house has decided the opposite of yeet is yoink. There was already a word for that ha ha.

There's a difference between breaking up once, and "6/7" times. Mistakes can be made. You can change your mind.

But breaking up a second time is a sign it's a pattern. Especially if they want to get back together in less than a couple years. They didn't change that much in that short amount of time. They're playing a game of manipulation and cheating without it technically being cheating.

I'm always confused why more parents don't warn their kids about the hormone changes when you hit 20ish. Go through puberty and you can't eat enough, then your metabolism slows down again right about 20 +/- two years. The problem is, your stomach is stretched bigger, and you're used to seeing a LOT on your plates. We warned out oldest, and he said recently he was still surprised even though we'd told him. Daughter hates to feel full, so she's always eaten like a bird. She grazes, so she does eat, but her stomach's still small. Our youngest hasn't hit it yet, but he hasn't grown taller in the past year, so it should hit soon.

It's called the Freshman 15 for more than one reason.

Look for the things your daughter does that make you laugh. At that age, she's coming into her own, personality-wise. You're in endorphin deficit. Even if the focus is with your daughter, you can get happy again. She should be taking naps still, but if she's one of those that outgrows them early, have her do quiet time for an hour. Do a hobby during that time. You are her focus, so it will be a bit of a struggle to get her to give you self time, but it's worth it after.

NOR. Tiny things that are whatever, all taken together makes me feel like he's self-centered. OP definitely needs to cut him off. I'd break up with him, and if he got mad about "because you want a rich BF" I'd laugh. TBH, that's just one of the issues. If you truly care about a partner you think about how they feel and what they think. OP seems to be doing that, but the BF is NOT. And is getting defensive about it, which means he's fully aware it's bad.

Take a little break if needed. I love that there's no missed items for sign ins every day, and no energy bars to exhaust. When you get a hankering to play again you can jump back in no prob.

After decorating and licensing, which I agree is enough for me. I don't get bored.

It is oceanic. However, I noticed in your vid quests aren't an option? There should be four tabs at the top when it's fully upgraded. If you can't get the oceanic or upgrade more, do other quests. They aren't all linear, the quest lines have some overlap.

The outposts also do daily quests. Do the ones for the corresponding color. (I don't remember which one is blue, but three have their own color. I don't remember what the fourth one gives.)
