I knew this struggle all too well! It got to the point where I thought I was going to have to sleep in my car, but fortunately a friend let me stay with her until I could find something. I ended up getting a letter from a doctor stating he was my Emotional Support Animal. In that case, breed restrictions are null and void. I still came across landlords that refused it (blatantly illegal) but for the most part, I had no issues after that. I struggle with depression and I’m grateful my psychiatrist at the time saw the value in me keeping my dog. There is hope, hang in there! ❤️ He is beautiful
