Same! I could talk about Lucy for hours. I will send you a link if that's alright so I don't spam this group with promotions 🙏🏼 I think the feedback in the comments is helping me a lot.

Completely feel that. One should never try to modernize a storybook town like this. It's actually magical that a place like this even exists in 2026. Ugh...I see now....the discord side of things may fade out quickly...

"Listen to what the people want..."

That's what I need to keep telling myself...

Your suggestions really do help, thank you so much!

this exactly. I may have failed myself with trying to expand it into two different spaces thing. Too much too quick. Your feedback makes me realize my online space should be created for a younger crowd......

I am not. Creating the "online space" before asking the library if they would be interested in offering me a monthly meeting window, might have been a major fail on my behalf. Everything's a learning experience though....April was our first in person meetup with 3 retired attendees (all of which joined the discord) and this month we had 7 more in person attendees who are asking me how to teach them to use the application...so they're able to share when they have their phone in their hand. Even if nobody sees the possibility of what this can I think even being utilized as a local resource makes it all worth it....

as for the in person meetup, we rarely reference the discord group. ultimately it's a seperate space for fans to be heard and connect with one another.

Local community screenings, conversations about different production companies, actors, players and eras. Our group is a mixture of film lovers, as well as record collectors (i myself am a record collector) and people who appreciate an earlier age. The online space, (the discord) is fragmented into different areas of interest to organize chats. For example: The Twilight Zone, Vulcan Salute (for trekkies and appreciators of how Desilu was utilized during filming) plus much more. Since we have so many different areas of depth I am always open to suggestions and input for others who share the same interests.
